The tour was well organized the guide was quite friendly and very knowledgeable of the place the wonderful mountains are very impressive thank you very much for the whole organization.
I really can’t say enough about this excursion. I actually enjoyed it so much that even when this app kicked me out after I already wrote a review I’ve come back to rewrite it and make sure that it gets posted. Let me give you a point of reference. I’m from Florida. I flew into Cusco, was there for one day and then did this track with my eight and 10 year-old sons. The boys powered through and other hikers complimented them on their accomplishment and success in finishing this nearly 8 mile hike at roughly 15,000 feet above elevation. That being said, we did feel the effects of the altitude and it wasn’t until the descent that those effects became more obvious nothing major or debilitating but noticeable. our trip started by being picked up and taken to the base area where we received a hot breakfast probably one of the most delicious breakfast we had on our entire trip eggs, pancakes, fruits, drinks, you name it was cooked to perfection mouthwatering and delicious after breakfast they take your lunch order for when you come back from the trek again the cook and food were some of the best that we had during our trip I ordered the trout which is harvested right from the mountain rivers savory and flavorful. Once we finished breakfast, we were given a safety briefing and began our trek. The visual vastness, beauty and stunning landscape of the glaciers, lagoons, pristine Valley were nothing short of spectacular. Our guide, Alex was amazing, informative, and insured every measure to keep us motivated and safe. The hike also offers opportunities for horseback riding through portions of the trail to ease some of the work load but we opted not to. Once you return, your lunch is ready, and you have an opportunity to browse the local market stands and take a dip in the Hot Springs. The community is kind and friendly and welcoming when I found this excursion I feel like I stumbled on something absolutely special and magical, and we cherish the memories we made on this hike and the accomplishments, our boys achieved. On a final note if you’re like me and looking for something to do in Peru that involves the outdoors, this hike is an absolute must.
The colorful lakes and mountain views were like a painting. It’s a less crowded area, so it felt very special and quiet. The hike was peaceful, far from the crowds, and surrounded by pure nature. Perfect for nature lovers looking for something unique!
