Das Haus der Jungfrau Maria ist der Ort, an dem Maria möglicherweise ihre letzten Tage verbracht hat. Tatsächlich ist sie vielleicht zusammen mit Saint John in die Gegend gekommen. Dieser Ort wurde 1986 offiziell zum Schrein der römisch-katholischen Kirche erklärt und ist seitdem ein beliebter Wallfahrtsort. Papst Paul VI. Besuchte das Heiligtum im Jahr 1967. Der Besuch des Hauses (Kirche) dauert ca. 45 Minuten und nach unserem Besuch; Es wird eine 5-minütige Fahrt nach Ephesus geben.
Ephesus ist ein außergewöhnliches Zeugnis der kulturellen Traditionen der hellenistischen, römischen und frühchristlichen Epoche. Ephesus ist ein wichtiger Ort für das Christentum; als eine der sieben Kirchen der Offenbarung. Apostel Paulus verbrachte wahrscheinlich während seiner dritten Missionsreise zweieinhalb Jahre in Ephesus. In zwei Stunden erkunden Sie die Stadt, indem Sie in Begleitung unseres englischsprachigen Reiseführers durch die Marmorstraßen spazieren. Auf unserer Tour werden wir Odéon, die staatliche Agora, Prytaneion, das Memmius-Denkmal, den Domatian-Tempel, das Herkules-Tor, die Kuretenstraße, den Hadrian-Tempel und Latriens sehen. Die Besichtigung des Privathauses (sogenanntes Bordell, „Terrassenhäuser“) ist eine optionale Besichtigung für zusätzliche 25 ₺ / Person. Ihr Führer sollte vorher informiert werden. Nach Terrace Houses werden wir unsere Erkundung mit Celsus Library, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather und Arcadiane (Harbour Road) fortsetzen.
Wir werden den Besuch im Tempel der Artemis fortsetzen. Das ist eines der "Sieben Wunder" der Antike. Hier gibt es gute Chancen, Fotos von Church of St.JohnandMosque of İsa Bey aus der besten Perspektive zu schießen.
Sirince ist ein altes Dorf von Rum (byzantinische Griechen) auf den Hügeln von Selcuk und 7 km von Ephesus entfernt. Im Rahmen des Friedensvertrages nach dem türkischen Nationalkrieg (1919-1922) wurde ein förmlicher Austausch zwischen Türken und Griechen vereinbart, und Sirince wird jetzt von Türken bewohnt. Das Dorf ist bekannt für seine schönen traditionellen Häuser und die Herstellung von Wein mit Fruchtgeschmack. und Sie haben Zeit für eine Weinprobe.

Our guide was fantastic, very good-natured and did a great job managing the group which was diverse with some young children and older people so we didn’t move very fast. We would have enjoyed more time in Ephesus which was the main reason we came to the area. We did add the Terrace houses (paying additional 15€ each onsite when asked if anyone wanted to stop there - it’s inside the ancient city) though nobody else in the tour did this. We thought it was super interesting to see what an actual Roman house and village looked like. But had to zoom through it since timing so tight and this took even more time away from the short duration to see Ephesus ruins.

What a beautiful trip with lots of explanations about Ephesus and Sirinze by our guide Hüray and driver Ali who drove us through a beautiful landscape. Booked through Get Your Guide with this company. Excellent day trip. Gulay, our guide, was extremely informative and spoke excellent English. The tour gave us plenty of time at each of the sites, and also included a very tasty, filling lunch. The bus was clean and spacious. We particularly enjoyed that this was a small group experience as it was also very nice to get to meet the other passengers from a wide variety of countries. Ephesus itself was incredible, such an interesting and enjoyable place to visit. I would advise visitors to wear sensible shoes as the marble sloping walkways are very slippery. The village of Sirence was also very pretty and we enjoyed visiting here as part of the trip. Overall, we felt the trip was well organised and good value for money.
Pick up and drop off to my hotel door were seamless. Our guide Nizam (sp?) was amazing. So nice and knowledgeable. He made everyone feel comfortable and made us laugh the whole day. I’m especially grateful for his timing of the day. He kept us ahead of cruise ship groups and out of the sun at the hottest times of day.
