Das Haus der Jungfrau Maria ist ein katholischer Schrein am Rande des Bulbul-Berges in Selcuk. Es wurde entdeckt, nachdem eine Nonne in Deutschland den Ort in ihren Visionen über ein Haus beschrieben hatte, in dem Mutter Maria lebte, bevor sie starb. Seitdem ist es ein wichtiger Wallfahrtsort für Katholiken.

Der Tempel der Artemis ist eines der sieben Weltwunder, das 550 v. Chr. Am Stadtrand von Ephesus fertiggestellt wurde. Es ist ein Heiligtum, das an einem heiligen Ort errichtet wurde. Der Tempel selbst stammt aus dem 8. Jahrhundert v. Chr., Aber der heilige Ort stammt weit zurück. Es wurde dreimal zerstört und wieder aufgebaut. Aber es wurde aufgegeben, nachdem Christen begonnen hatten, das Gebiet zu regieren.

We had a little mix-up with our tour, we had friends on one and they were supposed to be with us so they were kind enough to take us all together with them getting no fee and the other getting to Keep the money from our tour. They were so fair and kind. Would highly recommend this company!

An amazing Tour with an amazing Tour Guide, Gufte! We had an amazing tour of Ephesus and Gufte share all her knowledge with us. She went over and above what was expected and also fitted in a tour of a Carpet Weaving School and a Turkish Delight Factory even though this was not part of the original tour! The Vehicle was New and extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this tour!

Our six-hour tour of Ephesus was an incredible experience, starting with our friendly guide, Hugo, who spoke both Spanish and English. It was very hot the day of our tour, so Hugo suggested we visit the ancient city early before the worst of the heat. While there we also visited the Terrace Houses, which required an extra entry fee. We then were taken to a leather manufacturer, where we experienced a runway show of leather jackets and a strong sales pitch to buy their products. We also were taken to a Turkish carpet factory, where we again were subjected to a strong sales pitch to purchase a carpet. After that we ate a traditional Turkish lunch, followed by a trip to the House of the Virgin Mary. Overall it was a great day of experiencing ancient Turkish history.

We used The Puerto Travel and our guide, Gufte was excellent and very knowledgeable. She was also very patient with my husband who has been having limited mobility issue. The hotel pick-up was punctual and was smooth. Having a small group of only 4 has made a difference. I recommend this travel company and the guide . I wouldn’t mind using them again in the future.

From start to finish our trip was wonderful we saw all the main sites and our tour guide gufte was amazing with her knowledge and was always happy to ask any questions. Our group was small so I think we got a better experience. We even got to go to a family pottery factory and a Turkish delight factory, which we didn't expect but another fab addition to the trip. Ephesus is must see for anyone and the highlight of the trip the library and see you the artimis statue at the end of the museum experience. We finished off at the temple of artimis a sad story to end on but wrap the trip up perfectly. Thank you to our guide gufte for walking us through the day
