Ephesus war die zweitgrößte Stadt des Römischen Reiches und hatte im 1. vor Christus mehr als 250.000 Einwohner. Nur hinter Rom war es die zweitgrößte Stadt der Welt. Ephesus war auch eine Hafenstadt. Und diese riesige Stadt wurde nur mit Marmor gebaut. Wussten Sie, dass Ephesus ein größtes Amphitheater der Antike mit über 25.000 Plätzen hat? Sehen Sie auch die Göttin Nike, die lokale Apotheke, das Hadrian-Tor, die Bibliothek von Celcius (die drittgrößte Bibliothek), die Marbel Street und die Harbour Street.
Das Haus der Jungfrau Maria ist ein Ort, an dem Maria, die Mutter Jesu, nach den Überzeugungen vieler Menschen ihre letzten Lebensjahre verbracht hat. Sie sollte zusammen mit Johannes nach Ephesus kommen und dort in den Jahren 37-45 n. Chr. Bis zu ihrer Himmelfahrt oder Mariä Himmelfahrt leben.
Temple of Artemis oder Artemision, auch als Temple of Diana bekannt, war ein griechischer Tempel, der der Göttin Artemis gewidmet war. Es befand sich in Ephesus und war eines der sieben Weltwunder.
Die 1374 - 1375 erbaute Isabey-Moschee ist eines der ältesten und eindrucksvollsten Bauwerke der anatolischen Beyliken. Die Moschee befindet sich am Rande der Ayasuluk-Berge in Selcuk-Ephesus.

The bus arrived on time, had a couple of pick ups on the way. The guide spoke excellent English and explained everything throughout the trip. His knowledge was second to none and I definitely enjoyed the trip.

Even the trip was expensive (400 euros for 5 people) but it was really worth it. Özgür was very helpful, and the shuttle bus was clean,and comfortable. It was a half-day programme, it took from 8 AM to 2 PM. Ephesus was very overcrowded,and be careful to take sun lotion, sunglasses or any other sun protection with you,because the sun’s extreme. Overall it was a very good experience,I would come back.

Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and welcoming, providing fascinating insights throughout the tour. Additionally, the transfer service was seamless and highly efficient. The only negative thing I can mention is the fact that we stopped by 2 “sponsored” locations, which took about 1hr+ in total and were completely unrelated to the main program.
