I highly recommend this company - the best tour guide I have come across in many years of travelling. I booked them for a solo bespoke tour and it was a great decision. The guide, Schacar, was friendly, helpful , highly experienced and very knowledgeable. He didn’t just have an amazing grasp of the facts and history of every place we went … he also had a keen grasp of current situations and was able to give interesting background insights and opinions which brought everywhere to life. He was so obliging, and couldn’t have done more to meet every need and requirement. You won’t be disappointed if you go with this company - they are real professionals with the personal touch.
Ravid is a cool guide with a wealth of knowledge regarding the history and culture of Israel. He has a lot of experience as a tour guide from around the world, is multilingual, and loves his job. You can't go wrong with that guy.
Shachar with Hands On Israel took us for 1 full day from Tel Aviv down South to bear witness to all that happened and pay respect and honor all those killed and kidnapped on/since October 7th. With deep thoughtfulness, knowledge, and personal connection, Shachar took us through the areas of Zikim, S’derot, and Re’im. We heard personal stories and learned important details about the day of October 7th and after. Shachar helped make a sad, emotional day very meaningful and special as he took us through the areas of the kibbutzim that were attacked and walked with us through the Nova Festival site. Thanks to Shachar and Hands On Israel, even though it was a day filled with tears and heavy emotions, it was also filled with so much support and love.
We had an amazing time in Israel thanks to Shachar and his team. Their attention to making sure we experienced the highlights of Israel in the limited time we had was amazing. We did three days of touring with them. In our last day we visited Tel Aviv, Caesarea, and Jaffa. His knowledge of the country, their history, political situation helped give us an insight not possible had we not traveled here. We were blessed to visit and experience Israel before the horrific new attacks. Our prayers and support will be with Israel.
This was my second tour with Shachar and Hands on Israel. I first went with him I’m the summer of 2017 with just my then 10 and 12 year old daughters. This time, I brought the entire family. It is not easy leading a group Of 8 that ranged from 12-72 but Shachar did it perfectly. He is the most fascinating guide I have ever met. We are leaving Israel inspired and so much more knowledgable thanks to Shachar’s pure brilliance. He knows exactly how to engage the most difficult child while ati appealing to adults. Our group traveled around the country with ease. I can not recommend Shachar enough. He is such a gift!
