Unsere Talking Through Art Walking Tour bietet einen authentischen, unterhaltsamen, informativen und einzigartig persönlichen Einblick in die Kultur, Geschichte und das tägliche Leben von Gikondo. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, einige der verborgenen Bereiche unserer lokalen Gemeinschaft zu erkunden und in die ruandische Kultur und das tägliche Leben in dieser geschäftigen und pulsierenden Gegend von Kigali einzutauchen. Ihr Rundgang wird von einem lokalen Führer geleitet, der sein ganzes Leben in Gikondo gelebt und gearbeitet hat und eine Fülle interessanter Informationen bietet! Wir führen Sie zu einem der belebten traditionellen Straßenmärkte in der Nachbarschaft, wo Sie frische lokale Produkte entdecken und die lebhafte Atmosphäre genießen können. Wir machen eine Pause für einen köstlichen, frisch zubereiteten Sambusa-Snack und machen eine Pause in einem nahegelegenen Milchladen, wo Sie gekühltes Ikivuguto, ein traditionelles ruandisches Getränk, probieren können.

Unser Rundgang beginnt bei Talking Through Art mit einer Einführung in die Geschichte des Zentrums und die Arbeit, die wir hier leisten. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, unsere Galerie zu erkunden und dabei den lokalen Kaffee oder Tee zu genießen. Sie werden auch Zeit haben, mit unseren Webern in Kontakt zu treten und sie kennenzulernen.

I really enjoyed this walking tour in Kigali with TTA. Our local guide Omar was the best we could have wished for. He connected small neighbourhood details to the bigger picture of Kigali and Rwanda’s history and culture. This way we could really feel the city. He was clearly a part of the community, people greeted him along the way, which made the experience feel authentic and personal. I came away with a much deeper understanding of Kigali and would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in meaningful local insight rather than just sightseeing.

We got a really good tour through the neighborhood together with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Through him we could easily visit the streets beyond the “ordinary”, see regular shops and experience the pulse of the city. We were a bunch of friends and had a long series of questions that the guide was happy to answer. Highly recommend this hike, as well as a visit to their nice shop!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Talking Through Art walking tour. The tour allowed me to walk the roads where the people of Rwanda live and get a glimpse of the neighborhood and how the community works. My tour guide was a lovely young man who was knowledgeable of the area and curious about other cultures and communities. The weaving that was done by the local women was outstanding. I only wish I had more room in my suitcase! I highly recommend this tour.
