Der erste Blick auf die Tour ist die Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, die ein wahres Meisterwerk der Weltarchitektur ist. Die Montage dauerte 6 Jahre und 2001 wurde sie erfolgreich eröffnet. Diese Moschee ist ein traditionelles, leichtes islamisches Gebäude aus Sandstein und Marmor. Es hat 5 Minarette - ein Haupt- und 4 Seitenminarett, die einen besonderen, unverwechselbaren Look erzeugen. Das innere Design ist reich an Mosaiken, riesigen handgefertigten persischen Teppichen und Kronleuchtern, die mit Kristallen verziert sind.

Das ist ein idealer Ort, wenn Sie sich das normale Leben im Oman ansehen möchten. Gehen Sie einfach die Reihen entlang, suchen Sie nach Gegenständen, suchen Sie nach Schnäppchen und haben Sie Spaß, denn hier finden Sie alles, von Gewürzen bis hin zu traditionellen Teppichen, Vasen oder Souvenirs.
Wohnsitz von Sultan Qaboos. Von beiden Seiten umgeben die Forts den Palast, sodass Sie wahrscheinlich die herrliche Landschaft genießen werden. Bait Al Zubair ist eine Kulturstiftung, die ursprünglich als privates Museum gegründet wurde und deren geschnitzte Holztüren 1998 der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht wurden. Sie wird von ihren Gründern, der Familie Zubair, finanziert. Im Jahr 2005 gründete die Familie die Bait Al Zubair Foundation als kulturellen und sozialen Zweig des Familienunternehmens The Zubair Corporation. Die Stiftung verwaltet den Kulturraum und entwickelt Projekte in den Bereichen Kultur und Erbe, Kunst, Gemeinschaft, Geschichte und Verlagswesen. Bait al Zubair zeigt die Sammlung omischer Artefakte der Familie, die mehrere Jahrhunderte umfasst und als die schönste Sammlung in Privatbesitz gilt. Seine ethnografischen Artefakte spiegeln hochspezialisierte ererbte Fähigkeiten wider, die die Gesellschaft Omans in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart prägen. Es ist eine der architektonischen Ikonen des Landes und wurde 1999 zum ersten Mal im Oman mit dem Preis Seiner Majestät Sultan Qaboos für herausragende architektonische Leistungen ausgezeichnet.

We had an amazing tour discovering Muscat. The beautiful Opera House, Mutrah Fort, Museum and Palace, and the incredible Muscat Mosque. It has to be seen to be believed. Our tour guide Mahmoud was so informative, and gave us a wonderful introduction to the history of Muscat. Mahmoud is an exceptional guide. A great ambassador for his country. We enjoyed this tour very much.

This tour was very well managed by the lovely Mohammed Aldighaishi who was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming.
