Diese strategisch gebauten Häuser sind eine Japanische Architekturtechnik, die begrenzten Raum geräumig erscheinen lässt. Es ist selten, ein Haus mit seiner Innenstruktur intakt zu finden, und dieses 160 Jahre alte Haus bietet ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Der Reiseplan, Reiseroute ist wie folgt: 1. Ihre Erkundung der Machiya beginnt an der Rezeption. Ihr Fortgeschrittener erklärt Ihnen die Architektur, während er Sie in Ihr Zimmer im dritten Stock begleitet. 2. Im dritten Stock können Sie die folgenden Erlebnisse genießen: - Lassen Sie Ihr Foto in einem Kimono machen. - Wählen Sie Ihre Lieblings-Antik-Teeschale und lassen Matcha für Sie vorbereitet. 3. Kehren Sie über die langen Gänge und die versteckte Treppe zur Rezeption zurück. Am Ende Ihrer Reise wird Sie der Wächtergeist des Gebäudes, eine weiße Schlange, verabschieden.

Besucher können die 160 Jahre alte Teehausarchitektur besichtigen. Die Besucher hören Erklärungen und gehen durch das Gebäude, während sie die versteckte Treppe und manuelle Aufzüge in den Schiebetüren betrachten, die charakteristisch für die Teehausarchitektur sind. Besucher können auch ein Fotoshooting im uchikake (spezieller Kimono) oder samurai-artigen Kimono in einem Raum im dritten Stock mit Blick auf die Straßen von Miyagawa-cho erleben. Possibly the best experience we booked in Japan. The owner took us through the tea ceremony. We wore kimonos and he made matcha for us. We used the Japanese tea bowls and trays. Afterwards, we took a tour of the house which had historical meaning and hidden parts. The tea master was so kind and friendly. We loved the hospitality and the experience.
My experience at Sawai was wonderful. I was dressed in a kimono and toured the historic buildings. Thank you for this invaluable experience.

I really enjoyed this tour! Walking inside such an old Japanese house was like stepping back in time. The wooden floors, the sliding doors, and the hidden spaces made me imagine how people lived long ago. I especially liked learning about the small details of the house, like how it was designed for safety and for daily life. Drinking matcha in that atmosphere felt very special, and trying on the kimono was a lot of fun too. It was a perfect mix of history and culture!

We visited a tea house building on a beautiful street. It was a very valuable experience to take a photo wearing Uchikake. It's a 160-year-old building, so it was quaint. The landlady was also kind and the hospitality spirit was wonderful.

I was shown a house on a very beautiful street. The maze-like house was very interesting. I was also very happy to be able to take photos wearing uchikake.

The tour barely spike English. All it was a walk around an old family house. totally disorganized. The tea ceremony was not a ceremony, and he didn’t explain anything. There were no Kimonos to wear. he brought out some old moth ball smelling robes and called them Kimonos. Definitely feel like we got taken.
Thank you for signing up for our tour. Our tour is a building tour with matcha and kimono. We are not offering a matcha ceremony. You jumped to conclusions. The building is very rare among the buildings called machiya in Kyoto, which were built as teahouses. Teahouses were built as homes for maiko and geisha. I'm sorry that you didn't understand the rarity of this building. As for the kimono, it is called an uchikake. Uchikake is now worn as a formal kimono at weddings. Historically, it originated from princesses in the Heian period. Our uchikake in particular is a traditional craft made with gold thread. We do not use insect repellent because it will deteriorate. I don't know what the smell is. Uchikake is a particularly luxurious kimono that makes full use of traditional Japanese techniques. It is regrettable that you call it just a robe that you put on. It's unfortunate because we were hoping that you would enjoy the experience of wearing a genuine and valuable uchikake. Many of our customers, especially those from Europe, understand the value of this and are very happy. I apologize for not being able to convey its full value and allow you to enjoy it to the fullest.
