Jamal was a great host & tour guide. He’s seasoned with 30+ years of experience. He knows 4 languages fluently! English, French, Spanish & Arabic. He’s not pushy but laid back and gives you as much or as little history you want. He also walked at a slow pace so we could soak it all in. We toured the Medina and Kazbar both of which are breath-taking. Part of the tour was driving and another part was walking but not too much of either- it was a great balance for us. The next day is a 45 min drive to an old fishing village converted into an artist’s community on the Atlantic Ocean. Also picturesque and quaint. Anywhere we went; Jamal is “the mayor” 😂 - so you are in good hands. If you want an authentic “local’s” tour- this is your guy!
Jamal is the boss and he did an excellent job communicating via email and making sure we were taken care of. His directions were clear and made getting there a breeze. He met us as promised and introduced us to our private guide, Mohcine. He took great care of us and made sure we were always happy. He went above and beyond, meeting us before dinner (after he was technically done working) and took us to a local resturant. He ordered for us and escorted us back to the hotel (the Medina can be confusing). He also met us in the morning to show us the Berber market and again showed up at the terminal to make sure we got to our ferry. Did I mention that Jamal was continuously checking in with him and showed up out of nowhere three times like a magician. They definately did a fantastic job and made us very happy. Morocco is extremely safe and the King is really putting a lot of effort to moderniations and tourism. You need to go. Hopefully you can stay longer than just a weekend.
