We had a great Elaphiti Islands boat trip from Dubrovnik. Everything was very well organised, and the timings were spot on, giving us plenty of time to explore each island without feeling rushed. The food on board was tasty, and the unlimited wine was a great addition that made the day even more enjoyable. The Elaphiti Islands were absolutely beautiful, with stunning scenery and crystal-clear water. Luciana was a great host and shared interesting information about each of the islands, which really enhanced the experience and helped us appreciate their history and character. Overall, it was a relaxing, well-organised day out, and I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Dubrovnik.
My fella and I decided to book the Elaphiti Islands Cruise with lunch to fill a day after talking to their rep at the ticket booth in Dubrovnik Old Town. We paid a 10 Euro deposit and and agreed to meet the boat in the harbour the next morning at 10.30am. When we checked the weather, the forecast showed it was due to be windy in the morning so we were not surprised when on arrival we were told that the boat would be leaving from the larger port at Gruz, and that we would be transferred to the new destination. What did surprise us was the chaos that followed. Considering how long this firm have been trading, I find it hard to believe that they do not have a 'Plan B' in place for when this happens (which must be fairly often). It seems that 3 separate mini buses had been booked at the last minute to transport our group, but they turned up a good 20 mins apart (which meant a long wait in the heat standing at the busy bus stop near the Pile Gate). We were in the last group to leave and were driven off by a non-english speaking driver, who after a few heated mobile calls proceeded to drive along the coast past Gruz and then for nearly an hour along the coast! He eventually took a steep narrow road down to a tiny harbour, gestured for us to get out and drove off (may have been handy if he could have put someone on speaker phone to explain what must have been Plan C). Anyway, after another 20 mins, the boat chugged into view and pulled along side the seawall for us to jump onto (which was a bit jerky!) and we finally set off. The way to the first island was taken up with the captain making frequent requests for people to pay their balances (it seems no-one was keeping a note of who had paid already) with some people being charged more than others. Luckily, we had a receipt to prove that we had paid cash before departure. The weather did settle down, and the islands were pretty. Lunch was dished up at 2.30pm, and was delicious (huge portion of seasoned chicken breasts with potato salad and sauerkraut). The drinks were free flowing, with frequent top ups all the way back. With the wine kicking in and music playing, it was quite a party atmosphere. To sum it up, we did have an enjoyable day and we were very well fed and watered for our money. The boat crew did try hard to ensure we all had a good day, however the lack of communication regarding the new departure arrangements and who needed to pay what did leave a lot to be desired!
Thank you for this review but I can 100% confirm that you didn't go with us as we are not departing from Gruž and we don't have any kind of mini bus transportation. As I can see also on pictures that you post lunch is definitely not on our boat. I would kindly ask to remove this review from our page. Thank you and kind regards Victoria
Great! Do it! Crew is awesome!
We were staying in mlini and saw that the 3 island hopping tour with food and drink was available right outside of apartment. It was 60 euros cash if booking with the desk near the dock or 55 euros on their website. We booked online as we didn't have enough cash. Boat was on time and we did a drop off/pick up at dubrovnik old town first before starting the trip. Soft drinks and wine were put out for people to help themselves, along with wine. Only tried the white but it wasn't pleasant at all. We spent about 45 mins on the first 2 islands and 2 hours on the last one(this was to long and it was far too hot to be walking about in the string sun) . A simple meal was provided half way though. Food was just OK(you can choose from chicken, fish of veg) . The crew barely interacted with the guests at all but My main concern was that we saw some of them and the crew from another boat, drinking something from shot glasses and also the chains across the entrance weren't closed, which I assume is for safety precautions. Overall, it was a nice day out and good value, but from a customer service and safety perspective, it failed on this occasion.
During the trip to Dubrovnik, I had serious concerns about safety. In my opinion, the captain was not paying sufficient attention to navigating the boat, and his focus was frequently elsewhere. What worried me even more was that the steering wheel appeared to be connected with ropes, which looked like a makeshift solution and did not inspire confidence. As a passenger, I expect much higher safety standards and professionalism from a tourist boat operator. This experience left me feeling unsafe and disappointed.
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take the safety of our passengers very seriously, and we would like to address the points you mentioned. Our captain and crew are fully trained and certified to operate this vessel, with all the required qualifications and experience. In addition, the boat undergoes regular inspections and all mandatory safety checks required by the relevant maritime authorities to ensure it is fully compliant with safety regulations. Regarding your observation about the steering system, we would like to clarify that there are no makeshift or improvised solutions used on our vessel. What you saw is part of the boat's proper and approved equipment and should not be interpreted as an unsafe or temporary repair. We are sorry that your perception during the trip left you feeling uncomfortable. However, we would like to reassure you that the vessel is maintained to the highest safety standards and operated in accordance with all applicable maritime regulations.
I had a lovely day and would highly recommend this experience! The entire team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Everything was well organized, and the timekeeping was excellent, which made the day run smoothly and stress-free. The lunch was also delicious . A special thank you to Luciana, who was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, friendly, professional, and always willing to help. She truly went above and beyond, and I’m very grateful for everything she did. Thank you to Luciana and the whole team for such a wonderful day!
A fabulous day from start to finish. Everything was explained when we booked our tickets from Mlini and we actually paid by card on the boat. Luciana could not do enough for everyone on board, and all the crew were excellent hosts. The lunch was delicious, drinks were free flowing with the added extra of a taste of Rakija and wafer biscuits on the return journey. The islands visited are beautiful and we swam on Lopud and had a lovely iced coffee. Cruising into Dubrovnik to pick up on the way to the first island is spectacular. The photo booth on top deck just completed a great trip. Would 100% recommend
Great tour and very nice crew and service.
Great experience. We loved everything about it ❤️
A truly very pleasant visit; I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and the team, especially Luciana, who was very professional, smiling, and attentive to our needs. My friends and I enjoyed the entire trip. I highly recommend it.
thank you
