Best part of our trip to PR. Tour guide, Gabriel, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the jungle. He allowed for a very relaxed experience, which was pretty self paced and allowed you to challenge yourself as much as you were comfortable doing so. It’s slightly physically exerting but doable for just about anyone. The views were amazing and we even saw some old Taino petroglyphs in face rocks at the waterfalls. Aside from the adrenaline rush from the excursion, we left with a greater respect for the history of the islands history and culture.
Incredible start to finish. Amazing guides and the hike is extreme and gorgeous. Exactly what we were looking for!
If you are an adventure seeker this is a must do! This is by far the coolest excursion I have been on. If you are between looking at different options, stop! This is the one to do!! We wore old tennis shoes that we planned to toss. I wore my swimsuit with water shorts and a long sleeve sun shirt and was happy with that (leave the sunglasses). I brought one bottle of water and a banana and some almonds. I would just leave your phone if you have an iPhone, our guide, Gabriel, took great photos and videos and then airdropped after the trip. You need a backpack that goes over both shoulder to carry your water and snack plus carry your harness when it is not on. Whole thing was about 4 hours. Honestly I would travel back to PR just to do this excursion again!
We joined the tour not knowing what to expect, especially given the occasionally rainy weather, but we were pleasantly surprised! It ended up being only us 2 so we got a custom tour with Ferdinand and Gabriel. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and helped us trek, climb, zipline, swim up an amazing waterfall. Due to the rain, the water levels were too high in some of the watering holes but still got a chance to be in the water and swim under a waterfall. It was a fun, invigorating, and at times challenging. So happy we did this tour!
My husband, myself and our 17 year old son had the time of our lives on this adventure! Ziplining, rock climbing, traversing on high wires and sliding down waterfalls in the middle of the rainforest with Gabriel is worth every penny. Do not miss the opportunity to push yourself and experience a one of a kind experience. Gabriel was so knowledgeable and an expert in making you feel safe and in control the whole time. We will definitely recommend to friends and family visiting Puerto Rico!!
Amazing experience for the family - guides were personable, knowledgeable, and made the trip fun for all. Highly recommend!
Had a wonderful time on this half day tour. I have three boys aged 10-16 and they all had a blast climbing, swimming under waterfalls, sliding down waterfalls and just exploring. Guides were amazing. Probably our best day in Puerto Rico!
I highly recommend this adventure. Gabe was our guide and was amazing, he took safety seriously, was incredibly supportive, and offered encouragement at just the right moments. This is a unique and beautiful experience that can be tailored to different ability levels. I recommend wearing good sneakers you don’t mind getting wet, bringing a lightweight backpack with water and snacks, and a small dry bag for your phone. Gabe was great with taking photos/videos and air dropped them to us at the end of the tour. Being immersed in nature and having the chance to swim beneath a waterfall was incredibly energizing, and I also enjoyed the adrenaline rush that I got from all of the challenges!
We had an amazing tour - the “Spa del Jibaro” was billed as their most relaxing tour, but I am not sure “relaxing is quite the right word. In any case, it was a gorgeous hike, with long breaks to admire the scenery and catch our breath, and a few energizing slides down or under waterfalls. This was a great intro to El Yunque, and we were surprised by a feast of just-cooked chicken and tostones at the end. It was some of the best food we ate in PR! Bonus!!
The via ferrata was an amazing experience and unlike anything you could get near el yunque. My guide was fantastic and we had the whole area to ourselves as the tour is on private land. Amazing waterfalls and it was definitely challenging/adventurous. 10/10 would recommend!
