Die River-Cave-Tubing-Expedition ist insofern einzigartig, als sie für viel mehr als nur "Höhlen-Tubing" geöffnet ist. Sie ist eine Kombination aus Wandern und Erkunden sowie Tubing durch bedeutende Teile einer einzigen zeremoniellen Höhle, die von der Antike genutzt wurde Maya. Ihre unterirdische Expedition führt Sie weg von den ausgetretenen Pfaden, um alte Maya-Zeremonialzentren, Töpferwaren, Artefakte, Altäre, obsidianische Blutklingen, Jade und die tatsächlichen Fußabdrücke des Schamanen und der Priester zu erkunden, die auf 400 v. Chr. Zurückgehen. Zum Mittagessen bereiten Ihre Guides eine unterirdische Picknickauflage am Flussufer mit Picknickdecke, Tortillas mit Aufschnitt, Saft und frischem Obst und Gemüse vor. Wenn Sie Ihr Mittagessen im Scheinwerferlicht zu den Klängen der unterirdischen Höhlen essen und mit Ihren Abenteurer-Kollegen plaudern, werden Sie dies nicht so schnell vergessen. We booked the cave tubing expedition and it surpassed our expectations in so many ways. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the Mayan caves and the history. They were kind and even helped my mom navigate through the slippery rocks and water. The lunch the provided in the cave, by candle light was a cool experience. We ended the 5 hour journey with a cliff jump and short hike through the orange orchards.

The views/scenery was amazing, the experience was unlike anything I’ve ever had and Christopher, our guide was able to guide us as well as give us a lot of information about the cave, the trees and animals throughout the whole tour. He made the experience that much more enjoyable!

I had a fascinating time with Pedro from Cave's Branch lodge as he took me and two others through the cave, both on foot and floating in the river on tubes. Upon entering the cave we did have to paddle with our arms since we were going against the gentle current, this was a little tough on the shoulders. We had a delicious picnic lunch in the darkness of the cave. We frequently got out of our tubes to see Mayan artifacts. Pedro knew a lot about the cave's formation as well as as the history, geology, and even about the critters that live in the cave and the river. Would highly recommend for couples, friends, families with teens, and solo travelers. Might be a little long and a bit strenuous for younger children.
