Very disappointing experience. I purchased tickets well in advance, only to have them canceled on the day of my visit. Even though I did receive a refund, that’s not the point—I had been looking forward to visiting this museum and my plans were completely disrupted. This vendor feels unreliable. I strongly recommend purchasing tickets directly from the museum’s official website to avoid this issue.
The house and history is amazing!! Love seeing all the art and the space that she lived in. A big fan of Frida! The only reason I’m rating this at three stars is because there was confusion with ticket times. I had originally bought them for 11:30 am and was sent tickets for 5 pm. We came back at 5 and almost missed a sección of the tour as the museum closes at 6. Gift shop was close and had to rush through a part of the exhibit. If you go at an earlier time I’m sure it’s great and can take your time. I would recommend to go earlier. Bad luck that we got sent tickets for 5 pm. Next time I would just buy from the actual site.
Casa Azul is pretty heavy if you love FK. Her ashes are there. It is very quiet. About an hour is ok. The staff are very respectful.
The museum was wonderful and I learned so much! That said, the experience of accessing the tickets via TripAdvisor was a nightmare. Two people in our group were never able to find the actual tickets and were not allowed into the museum despite our having paid. After having traveled all the way to the museum, this was very disappointing.
Those who treasure the artist Frida Kahlo will thoroughly appreciate this house tour/visit. You can visit at your leisure. No rushing! My only disappointment was in the small retail store - not much selection to purchase - no posters or books on her art ☹️.
Could not open my ticket. Made it extremely complicated to access and wasn't able to get in or get help with it
Extremely poor experience do not use. They sell you ticket for one date/time and then close to your visit date they tell you it's sold out and you have another.
This is the one part of our trip to Mexico city that I planned in advance and was most looking forward to. Trip advisor canceled us the day before and it is sold out all week while we are here. Soooo disappointed.
Better than I could have imagined! As a Frida Kahlo super fan, I was very aware of Frida’s story and her life at Casa Azul. I’d spent three weeks in Mexico and left my trip to visit till the end. Her house is a beautiful sanctuary filled with gardens and fountains. It’s hard to imagine how she was not inspired, growing up there. You don’t need to know anything about Frida Kahlo though, as a visit to the museum will open your eyes to the world in which she lived.
Very complicated to get the ticket after booked. It wasn’t available at app. It wasn’t attached to email. Long way to find it! Quite boring!
