„Le Macchine di Leonardo“, die weltweit größte (PRIVATE) Sammlung von Leonardo DA Vinci Maschinen, entsteht nach dem Jugendleidenschaft von Carlo (geboren am 25. Februar 1936), dem Gründer der Familie und des Unternehmens Niccolai. Besonders erfahrene Handwerker haben die Mitglieder der Familie Niccolai bisher 250 verschiedene Modelle und 50 interaktive Modelle entwickelt. basierend auf dem DA Vinci Codes und auf historischen Dokumenten, die Materialien aus Leonardos Zeit verwenden: Holz, Metall, Seile und Stoffe. Nach den ungeschriebenen Regeln der florentinischen Handwerker hat Carlo Niccolai seine Leidenschaft an seine Söhne und Enkel weitergegeben, die dank ihres Wissens über neue Technologien die Sammlung in den letzten zehn Jahren um neue Modelle bereichert und mehr als hundert Ausstellungen auf der ganzen Welt organisiert haben. Die Ausstellung ist 850 Quadratmeter groß und erstreckt sich über drei Etagen

Leonardo Da Vinci-Maschinen werden in der Galleria Michelangelo ausgestellt, wo sich die Macchiaioli in einer der bekanntesten Straßen im Stadtzentrum von Florenz trafen. Mehr als 50 Modelle werden in vier Räumen ausgestellt: Das größte ist zivilen Maschinen gewidmet, im zweiten Raum werden Flugmaschinen gezeigt, im dritten befinden sich Kriegsmaschinen und im vierten die kürzlich entwickelte Sammlung anatomischer Modelle bewundert. Die meisten Modelle sind echte Arbeitsmaschinen. Eine Dokumentation über das Leben und Werk von Leonardo Da Vinci wird auf Großbildschirmen angezeigt. Die Galerie hat eine Vereinbarung mit Caffé Michelangiolo, dem Restaurant im Ausstellungsbereich. In der Buchhandlung finden Sie viele Publikationen und Gadgets.

We arrived a little early and the staff member that greeted us was quite rude, this was a little off putting. We returned later and once inside the museum we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The amount of inventions were impressive and having an opportunity to try many of them out was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Misleadingly, we thought we had bought a ticket at the museum in Leonardo da Vinci's birthplace. So that was a different museum.
What a consummate genius with so many brilliant engineering designs. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Interesting , worth a look Would be difficult if you had children. It can get noisy when there are lots of kids
Loved it! I liked that you could explore all of Da Vinci’s inventions at your own pace. They even had samples you could try out to see them in motion.

Booked a last minute ticket for the wrong day by accident and the staff were very kind and a great help changing the ticket for me. Overall the museum was okay. Not quite what I was looking for as it was more for kids.
Buy your ticket online, it's cheaper. The museum was a nice fun walk through, very informative on Da Vinci's creations and inspirations. A lot of interactive exhibits too, good for kids and adults. Took about 30-45 min to walk through completely. Not too crowded of a place too which was nice.
It is a very interesting museum. There were lots of children on the day we visited, so be patient around the interactive models.
