Discover at Your Own Pace

This was one of the more interesting places to visit in Prague, and that is partly due to the ability to discover at your own pace. The restaurant provided a good break from the touring, and the food was delicious.

Definitely go

Very interesting castle with fabulous Prague views. Original signatures and works from Mozart and Beetoven which is crazy. Beautiful ceilings and art work and various collections. We skipped the audio tour. There are explanations of the items in each room in English by the door or next to each which were perfect. A room full of weapons too.

A jewel

Elegant home. We discover the historical richness of a family that has been friends of the arts for centuries, A thousand times more interesting and beautiful than Prague Castle. Before leaving, enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the city.

Best part of the castle complex

We had booked a 'Tour' of Prague castle which was basically meeting a 'Guide' who gave us some information and left us to go and look. It was all fine, especially the abbey, but we decided to pay extra for the Lobkovitz Palace. We were very pleased we did as it has a very good collection of art and artefacts including those of an association with Mozart. We had audio guides narrated by members of the family which gave us more insight into the place and history. There is also a nice cafe with a terrace area giving views over the city.

Unmissable visit, best moment of the Castle

This Palace was not necessarily mentioned as unmissable in the guides I read before visiting Prague but I found it extraordinary and for me it was clearly the highlight of the Castle. I had the chance to do it when it opened, empty. Amazing moment. The collections are very diverse and I think that everyone can find something in them (aficionados of painting, history, music).

Worth a Visit when in Prague

This Palace holds a museum of the Nazi confiscated and recently returned belongings of the Lobkowicz Family. The palace is lovely and the extensive collection is definitely worth a visit.

Minor interest

Disappointing. Little work of major interest. Museum visited very quickly. Welcoming is the explanations are minimal.

Wonderful small museum

THis was a wonderful exhibit of a family history and decorative arts and music. We enjoyed it although two of the rooms we wanted to see were closed. We had bought tickets ahead just before we came to the museum and they were discounting people who bought tickets there because of the closure but we had to really dispute to get any accomodation, which was vouchers for the restaurant. Would Still recommend as they were very polite.

Interesting museum

Be sure to listen to the audio guide so you can fully enjoy this collection. We’d arrived at 1, too late to be seated for the concert so we’ll return.
