Had an amazing holidays in Sun Siyam Island. Such a great room service by The Great Surya:) Can’t express in words. Everyone must visit at least once.
The spa centre at the Ixian Grand is so amazing.Eva was so professional and friendly and made me feel so much better. Thankyou Eva x
We were told 48 hours before going on the trip that there would be entry fees for each trip. 240lire for the Tslos tour and 100 lire for the Saklikent Gorge were well worth it, if you want to experience some Turkish history. The gorge was impressive and good to do some walking on holiday. Be prepared to get wet and wear some decent footwear, to avoid slipping over. I would also advice to visit in the morning as by 1pm, it was getting quite busy at the river entrance. However, the driver only spoke minimal English, he was jovel and polite. the lunchtime meal was only allowed to be fish or chicken and even though it states buffet it was not. We had to pay extra because our daughters had pancakes and omelettes another 550. We decided to give Patara Beach a miss as we were informed we would have to pay another 1300lire to sit on the beach, given we had paid for the trip, lunch plus the entry fees we felt this extra fee was unjustified. We ended up home by 4pm. There was no trip to trout farm as advertised or carpet weaving as advertised. Overall, probably not what I was expecting based on previous trips in Turkey. However, the driver was welcoming and friendly. This trip is definitely not worth the money and overall we felt shortchanged,
Xanthos and Saklikent Gorge were well worth it, if you want to experience some Turkish history. The gorge was impressive and good to do some walking on holiday. Be prepared to get wet and wear some decent footwear, to avoid slipping over. I would also advice to visit in the morning as by 1pm, as it was getting quite busy at the river entrance. However, the driver only spoke minimal English, so there was some confusion regarding entry fees which were inclusive of the excursion. Anyway, that was sorted out with his manager. Afternoon rafting on the river was a lot of fun and the lunchtime meal was tasty and plentiful. In hindsight I would have given Patara Beach a miss, just too busy and we only stayed about an hour. Overall, probably not what I was expecting based on previous trips in Turkey. However, the driver was very helpful and welcoming and organised our return to the hotel, as he needed to do an airport transfer.
We had an amazing time at Kalkan, superb villa and Kazim was always available if needed. The restaurants were amazingly well priced, infact we were surprised how much you can afford, even at the top restaurants. Weather was beautiful and there's so much to see and do, or just relaxing by the private pool side, Kalkan has a bit of everything. Thank you to Grant at KalkanHolidayProperty.Com’s for all your assistance and suggestions. They whole family (all 10 of us) had the best time ever and would recommend it to everyone. Looking firwards to coming back in the near future.
We went to this place with the extended family for breakfast and really enjoyed. Food was really delicious and view exquisite. Our food was served in a tree house where we all cozily sat down. You can see live fishes swimming in the restaurant. There is also a fish spa on the site where you can have a feet treatment.
