Nice service but a little high price

Very good overall, we explored the seabed of 3 different islands with the equipment provided by the team. We had lunch on a small island also a very good meal and we had 2 hours for it. During our lunch a family of varans joined us so it spiced up our meal. The staff was friendly and helpful. What I liked less, there was no accompanying for people who were not comfortable in the water since in these places depth is close to 5 meters, so that the children and the less daring could not enjoy the marine show. Second point at boarding a sum is claimed for entry to the national park; this amount is not negligible 800 baths for a couple like us, but what struck me was that this sum varies according to the individuals, I saw 1200 baths and 1600. So if it is a flat rate per family it quickly becomes a kind of racket to foreign tourists because if you count 3000 bath for 2 adding 800 bath you are close to 100 euros for 2. I think it becomes very high for such a country. The last point concerns transport: speed the noise the roll , the permanent pitch with the free shower makes the youngest quickly sick as well as some fragile people, it is not noted anywhere and many of us were surprised and might not have come if we had known what he expected us. Apart from that we had a great day and very tired on the return we went for a good nap. Thank you very much.

Not what you think

Rok Island was beautiful, both the sand and the water. The snorkelling spot a few minutes away was the best of the 3 stops. Although we didn’t see lots of fish the coral was quite nice. Prepare yourself that you only spend approximately 90 minutes at Rok Island. The remaining time will be spent stopping at two other locations to snorkel (one of them Haa Island) and those aren’t worth stopping at. The speedboat is a terrible ride that involves significant bumps and people vomiting around you. Between each destination it is approximately 40-60 minutes of this type of ride. If I was rating Rok Island I would give a rating of 4.9/5. However when we factor in the entire experience it is a 2.

Excellent, couldn’t have been better!

The entire day was brilliant. Everything started on time. Everything was explained clearly and the host was a delight, with an excellent sense of humour. The chosen two locations were great, the waters were really clear with lots of different sea life to see. Koh Rok is one of the most stunning islands I’ve ever seen. The lunch was delicious and the fruit was refreshing. Lots of water always on offer. And the snorkelling equipment looked almost new. Thank you for a great trip!

Many colorful & beautiful fish!!!

We had a calm day so the seas were not rough and the boat ride was very comfortable with cushioned seats and backs. Fresh air flowed through the boat so the temperature was perfect. We had good visibility out the windows. People could ride in the front if they chose to out in the open or inside with a covered room. There's a bathroom on board. If you want the fins make sure to ask for them. They were a very good quality! We saw many colorful fish, so I would have liked to have snorkeled longer. *There was supposed to be a limit of 32 on the boat but there was at least 40 or more. Mostly three people in a seat. It was comfortable enough because we had great weather and people filled the outside seats. There is a vegetarian lunch option if requested ahead.* If you select this make sure to ask for the peanut sauce as it was not added to mine. Plenty of watermelon and pineapple and cool water available. During lunch, the walk to and from the boat is on a floating dock which is quite lengthy so if you have any trouble walking on uneven surfaces that are floating be prepared. My recommendation would be to inform the staff to be willing to lend a hand to people getting on and off the boat and also maybe grab a bag for the clients while boarding. There didn't seem to be much consideration for this. Otherwise, a lovely trip.

Wonderful snorkeling...

Wonderful snorkeling trip, guides took very good care of everyone and probably needed more barf bags after as there were quite a few people who were seasick. Snorkeling was spectacular, lunch at Ko Roak was very tasty, there was plenty of time for me to hike to the magnificent viewpoint! These guys seriously made sure everyone had a great time, highly recommend!

Beware

This was the worst excursion my husband and I have ever taken. The crew had no regard for their passengers. On the way back, the ocean was rough. The driver of the boat did not consider the conditions and went as fast as the boat could possibly go. Within the first few minutes, everyone in the front of the boat was thrown 2 feet up and slammed back down. I landed on the floor. My husband tried to get the crew to help me because his back was in pain. They would not even slow down. 2 passengers helped. There was no room in the back of the boat to sit because it was over packed. Both of us had to stand and hold the bars for the hour ride home. Both my husband and I are still in pain 5 days later. Their were small children throwing up and parents holding their kids tight so they would not fly.

Dear Customer Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear that your excursion was distressing and that you and your husband were injured. This is not the experience we aim to provide. While the captain made the decision to sail based on weather assessments, your safety and comfort should never have been compromised. We take your concerns seriously and are reviewing this with our team to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Sincerely, Sak

Great day snorkeling excursion

The pickup from the hotel was straightforward and we were dropped off at the pier. It was a fun snorkeling experience and the crew were all very friendly and explained where we would be heading before each stop. The lunch provided was good too!

Great snorkelling, great boat crew

A fun day out with some great snorkelling. The crew were great, we were kept informed at each stage about what we’d do next and given ideas about what marine life to look for at each spot. We had a tasty lunch and plenty of water all day.

Meh…

Pros-you are in Thailand, on a boat; very nice staff; beautiful scenery Cons-overall experience was kind of…meh. The snorkeling was just ok (if you have done snorkeling in other great places like Belize or Hawaii, this doesn’t even come close and if you are on limited time, I would say skip it); the boat was packed to the brim so much so that it was uncomfortable; snorkeling equipment wasn’t that great (they don’t provide the fins by default, you have to ask for it and then they may have your size or they may not).
