Seit der Zeit Christi war Belgrad immer ein wichtiger Außenposten an der Grenze zweier Zivilisationen zwischen Ost und West ... Kelten, Römer, Byzantiner, Osmanen, Österreicher - Ungarn, Deutsche, Russen ... sie alle kämpften und starb, um die weiße Stadt (Beo-grad) zu erobern oder zu befreien, und ließ ihre Knochen hier. Viele Reiche kollidierten hier, und an diesen beiden mächtigen Flüssen, an denen Belgrad heute stolz als serbische Hauptstadt gilt, wurde die Weltgeschichte geprägt. Erbaut auf einem Grat, der die Stadt in zwei Teile trennt, eine natürliche Wahl für die Hauptfußgängerzone und die Hauptstraße seit der Römerzeit.
Skadarska Straße: Spüren Sie den wahren Geist Böhmens in diesem alten und einzigartigen Viertel von Alt-Belgrad.
Die Festung Kalemegdan liegt auf einem Hügel über dem Zusammenfluss zweier mächtiger Flüsse und hat eine reiche und gewalttätige Geschichte. Wir besuchen die Promenade, von der aus Sie einen schönen Blick auf die Save und das Denkmal der Dankbarkeit für Frankreich genießen können. Später besuchen wir eine monumentale Victor-Statue und ein Grab des osmanischen Wesirs Ali-Pascha.
Diese schöne Kirche wurde im 15. Jahrhundert erbaut, im 16. zerstört und im 19. wieder aufgebaut, um einen großen Teil der Stadtgeschichte zu bewahren.
Erbaut in einem akademischen Viertel von Belgrad, wird dieser Park von Studenten geliebt, die hier zwischen den Vorlesungen verweilen und das Grün der Innenstadt genießen.

Marija gave us a brilliant three hour tour of Belgrade that felt both relaxed and full of insight. I had a one on one history tour with Tibor and it was outstanding. As a political scientist, Tibor had deep knowledge of the history and politics of Belgrade and Serbia. He used the city’s many sites to explain the history and because I was the only guest I had a great opportunity to ask many questions. This walking tour is soooo good. All the different neighborhoods, the architecture, the fortress, and the view of the rivers at sunset👌🏼. Plus Pedja was one of the best guides I have had anywhere. His knowledge of the history and culture was so impressive, and he added lots of personal stories and random interesting facts along the way. Had a marvellous walking tour of Belgrade with an outstanding, guide, Pedja. His knowledge of Serbian history was excellent and he combined this skilfully with unexpected stops at seemingly ordinary points, which I had previously walked by without noticing. He was able to link each site with a critical point in Serbia's tumultuous history. It also meant I got to understand the layout of the old city. Pedja was also kind and very generous with his time. He has inspired me to read more about the history of this region, but, meanwhile, gave me a university semester course in 2 hours, including over a very good coffee.
