Fabelwesen, große Geschichten und dramatische Landschaften: Entdecken Sie die Schönheit Schottlands an einem Tag auf dieser eintägigen Bustour. Von Edinburgh aus fahren wir nach Nordwesten, vorbei an berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie dem Linlithgow Palace, dem Geburtsort von Mary Queen of Scots, den mystischen Kelpies und dem dramatisch thronenden Stirling Castle. Wenn wir weiter nach Norden fahren, erreichen wir Glencoe, um ein paar Fotos von den dramatischen Bergrücken namens Three Sisters zu machen. Wir legen in der Gegend von Fort William eine Mittagspause ein, bevor wir uns auf den Weg in die natürliche Schönheit des Great Glen machen, während wir am höchsten Berg Großbritanniens, dem Ben Nevis, vorbeikommen. Weiter ins Hochland erreichen wir das kleine malerische Dorf Fort Augustus – hier können Sie optional an einer Bootsfahrt teilnehmen. Auf dem Heimweg können Sie sich entspannen und die Landschaft der Highlands genießen. Der letzte Erfrischungsstopp erfolgt in der historischen Stadt Pitlochry, bevor die Heimreise über den Firth of Forth entlang der zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehörenden Forth Rail Bridge zurück nach Edinburgh fortgesetzt wird.

Unser erster Stopp für Erfrischungen und eine gemütliche Pause ist Callander, wo Sie die Möglichkeit haben, einen Snack zu sich zu nehmen und Ihre Beine zu vertreten. Wenn Sie Glück haben, haben Sie möglicherweise die Chance, die Hochlandkühe zu treffen (saisonabhängig).
Wir machen einen kurzen Halt in dieser malerischen Lage, um die Aussicht über Loch Tulla und Glen Orchy zu genießen
Glencoe, Schauplatz des Massakers am MacDonald-Clan im Jahr 1692, ist eines der berühmtesten Täler Schottlands. Hier machen Sie eine Fotogelegenheit mit den dramatischen nördlichen Gebirgskämmen, die als „Three Sisters“ bekannt sind
In der Nähe der Hälfte unserer Tour machen wir Halt in der Gegend von Fort William zum Mittagessen.

Eine Chance, etwas zu Mittag zu essen und an einer optionalen Loch Ness Boat Cruise teilzunehmen. Für diejenigen, die nicht auf der Kreuzfahrt sind, haben wir hier über eine Stunde Zeit, um einen Kaffee zu holen und herumzuschlendern.
Machen Sie einen Zwischenstopp im viktorianischen Ferienort Pitlochry, um sich vor der letzten Etappe der Heimreise die Beine zu vertreten und ein paar leichte Erfrischungen zu sich zu nehmen

This is the second time I have taken this tour.. My last tour was with Alastair as guide in January 2025 and thought it was so good that I needed to take my son and 78 year-old mother when I returned to Scotland. Alastair was great and i posted a separate review about my first tour. This time, the guiide was Phil...and I think he might even have topped the fantastic Alastair as guide! Sorry Alastair! Phil really brough the history of the Highlands to life, was a very safe driver, and played some wonderful mujsic (he does like to sing a long to some!). He really enjoys his job. Pick up and drop off is from a convenient part of Edinburgh and it really is a full day tour (aroun 12 hours), with plenty of stops for photo opportunites and for lunch. The boat cruise on Loch Ness is optional, but if you have got that far you really ought to buy a ticket (otherwise, you will just be wandering around the town while the bus waits for those who are doing the tour). The first bathroom stop is at a place that sells food (including hot food) and souveirs, which is good if you had to skip breakfast in orrder to make the earlty start. There's also an opportunity at this stop to get a picture of the famous highland cows (or 'heilan coos'). The final bathrrom stop allows you to taste some whisky ice cream if you wish...do try it. Thanks Phil for giving us memories that will last a lifetime. Having done the tourr twice, I don't think will be doing it again....but will be recommending it to anyone who wants a taste of the Scottish highlands.
Wonderful trip , managed to get some good photos. Phil our guide was excellent, very helpful. He kept us engaged all day with his jokes and history. I will highly recommend it to anyone interested in having a day full of fun. I wish weather was a bit more cooperative, still we some nice breaks and managed to take some good pictures

Great experience and our guide, Phil, was fantastic with a wealth of knowledge and matched the scenery with some music and stories along the way! Plenty of stops for food, drinks, and bathroom. The bus was very nice and comfortable.
Phil was a wonderful storyteller and I really enjoyed hearing the history and would love even more. Felt very safe the whole time and appreciated Phil's timing and knowledge of rhe how timing of bus tours works- very helpful!
The sights we saw were absolutely fantastic. The bus was a little cramped for 50+ people for a 12+ hour trip, the many stops for photos and food did help with that though! Phil was a fantastic guide!
It was my first solo trip and it was amazing. Phil really guided the travellers throughout the journey and his instructions were easy to follow. His Scottish historical knowledge was on point. And I would choose solo trips more often in the future with Stewart Tours.
Chris was an amazing guide. On our other tours we kept thinking to ourselves, “man we miss Chris 😔.” We loved the coos and we love Chris. Playlist was also fireeee
Our tour guide was Leon and we had a great experience! He's professional, knowledgeable, funny and has great music taste. I think it's impressive when guides are both driving and telling stories, it has to be a tough job. Although the day started early, it went by rather fast. The roads we travelled had amazing scenery and since it was a cloudy/rainy weather day, it made things all the more magical. I wished we had more time in Fort William, but I understand the time constraints, and seeing the Jacobite train there was certainly a highlight. I'd certainly recommend both the tour and Leon as a guide. The price is reasonable for such a long day of travels and the great things we get to visit. Thank you! 🌦️
