Beautiful trails with street art noteworthy of sharing. The tour of the Abbey was great, the church inside is a beauty, worth stopping in. The wine cellar was very clean and the wine was good! Our tour guide Simon was very knowledgeable and patient with a photography nut! The trails along the Danube were well maintained and easy to ride on. Thank you!!!
This review is music to our ears. it's great to hear that you enjoyed the tour with Abbey, she always knows where to find a hidden gem in Vienna. Best regards your PP-Team
My adult son and I really enjoyed this excursion to Stift Klosterneuburg. Our guide was Atta and he was excellent! We really enjoyed chatting with him as we rode to/from the abbey. The bikes were great and the ride was quite easy (I only needed to use the e-feature on a few steeper hills, using the e-feature makes this tour accessible to anyone who can ride a bike no matter their skill or strength). Atta was very attentive making sure everyone in the group was keeping up, and he stopped us from time to time to point out some sights. Really he was great! The wine tour was interesting although I would say it’s misleading to say “light snacks” would be provided as we were only served some slices of bread to cleanse our pallet between wines. I thought there would be a small charcuterie or something. But overall this was a lovely way to spend a part of the day in Vienna…I recommend this trip! Thank you Atta and Pedal Power!
Thank you for this review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience with Atta. Your PP-Team
Firstly, Vienna is absolutely beautiful! Our guide Leon, gave clear instructions on the route and how to operate the bikes. There are bike lanes all throughout the city and clearly marked. We set off through the city, stopping once for a bit of history, then along the outskirts of the city passing Danube canal and Danube River. Then arriving at the Weingut Stift Klosterneuburg winery. The route is mainly flat with only a couple of hills on the way back but the bikes made it easy. On our way back it started to rain. Leon was attentive, ensuring we all were ok to continue stopping a few time for cover. It was the highlight of our trip to Vienna, would totally recommend!
We’re delighted that this bike tour was one of the highlights of your stay in Vienna. The Pedal Power Team
So much fun. Nice to get some exercise and fresh air. The abbey and wine tour was very cool Leon was a great bike guide!
Thank you for leaving such a nice review! We will forward your nice words to Leon!
Had a wonderful time. Simon was our guide and he patiently explained how to work the e-bike and kept the pace brisk, but not too fast. Would definately recommend this company.
Hi, thank you very much, it is important for us that everybody feels comfortable on the bikes, we are happy you liked it! All the best, the Pedalpowerteam
September 5 Bike Ride to a Wine Tasting! It was my 73rd birthday, and a perfect way to spend it! The e-bikes were very easy to manage and almost "go by themselves". Felix, our leader, skillfully, though too rapidly, led us through the city to the path by the Danube -- a different part of Vienna than the Imperial grandeur or carefully flower-embroidered parks. It was a beautiful day, so the river reflected it, and we enjoyed seeing people enjoying it! This is not a tour for stopping to take pictures while riding, however, you will not forget seeing imposing lions on a bridge, the very futuristic waste-recycling tower with an artistic golden ball, or at the beginning, whimsical sculptures. The highpoint was to arrive at Klosterneuberg and the amazing Abbey in all its baroque splendor! We had a wonderful knowledgeable local guide, (not Felix as he knows virtually nothing of Klosterneuburg) , who explained how it had been slated to be an Imperial Summer Palace, hence the grandiosity, but was never finished and given to the Augustinian Friars, There are good panels in English which explain more about the religious order. Our guide took us through the three levels of cellars explaining the process of wine-making and different types of barrels and barriques which was supplemented by a short film we enjoyed with our first of 3 wines, an excellent Grüner Veltliner. Followed by another white, Zierfandler Rotgipfler and then a red. Coming up the steps was a Herman Hesse poem, "Stufen" (Steps) which addresses the steps we take in life, the changes that occur and how to deal with them. Afterwards, a quick look at the splendid gardens and magnificent church, then a return to Vienna down the island that splits the Danube. Our convivial group of 12 was headed up in the back by Moritz, to be sure no one left behind. My guess is, the common denominator of loving bikes and respecting wines is strong enough to bring out the best in everyone. Thank you Felix and Moritz!
Thank you for celebrating your birthday with us and for sharing such a lovely, detailed review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the ride, the Abbey, and of course the wines, with Felix and Moritz taking good care of the group. Your words sound like a 5-star experience, so if there’s anything we could improve, we’d love to hear it. Wishing you many more wonderful adventures ahead!
So fun! So glad we booked with. Viator. Nicely organized with good equipment. Thanks Nic! Good luck at university!
Hi Laurie, thank you so much for this amazing review! We are glad you enjoyed the tour with nic! He will be very happy about this review! Thank you so much:)
Must be experienced very fast riding through the main city traffic , if you haven’t ridden a bike for a while don’t do this !
Thank you very much for sharing your experience and feedback. We truly appreciate your honesty, as it helps future guests better understand what to expect. You are absolutely right—riding through the main city traffic requires confidence and previous experience on a bike. For those who haven’t ridden in a while, we usually recommend practicing a bit beforehand or considering one of our calmer routes to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Your input is very valuable to us, and we will continue working to make sure every guest feels both safe and comfortable. Best regards PP Team
Ata was an excellent guide. He made sure everyone safely navigated the city bike lanes and the countryside bike paths. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about Vienna and the sites seen to and from the Abby. The tour took us from city center, along the Danube river to a small town called Klotsterneuburg where we toured the winery Abby and tasted the delicious wine produced on site. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the fun of exploring on bikes. Exceptional excursion!
Thank you so much for your review! We're thrilled to hear that Ata made your experience memorable and that you enjoyed both the city bike lanes and the scenic countryside paths. The winery tour in Klotsterneuburg and the wine tasting truly sounds like the perfect ending to such an adventure. We’re glad you had such a great time. Safe travels and happy cycling!
Great bike trip to the Abby/ Monastery wine production tour. Perfectly maintained e-bikes. Good way to see the city from the Danube. Our bike leader was Michael and was very informative, helpful and patient. Well worth the trip and unforgettable experience.
Thank you for this amazing review! We are glad you enjoyed the tour and had an unforgettable experience! Hope to see you again one day:)
