E-Bike Val d'Orcia-Erlebnis

We had a fantastic day with our family with 3 children (15,12 and 9). Before our visit already had very nice app contact whether the type of bikes were suitable for our children as well as the route. We have been warmly and enthusiastically received. Had extensive explanations about the bike. Very nice that there are bags on the bike where you can put your water. On the route that it can enter via maps and follow via a holder on your phone you pass several stops. Everywhere we stopped and enjoyed the breathtaking view! The local (cheap and very large portions so we shared 3 dishes because otherwise we could not eat it) restaurant in a villages that was on the route was fantastic! Between the locals fresh pasta! We left 9.30 and were back 4pm. You can go faster but we have stopped regularly along the way. The quality of the bikes is super good so you can get up the highest hills without too much effort! Memories made for life! In addition, a super reception on return! Cold drinks and compliments to the kids!

Really super fun! Very nice surroundings and super nice bike paths, sometimes quite challenging but it was all super doable! The people at the rental are incredibly nice and helped us very, very well. Highly recommended!

A highlight of my Tuscany trip! The guided e-bike tour with Urban Bikery was fantastic from start to finish. The route was beautiful, the bikes were excellent, and the team were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. As a solo traveller, I especially appreciated how included I felt – even ending up sharing a beer with the lads afterwards! A wonderful way to experience the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommended.

Our self guided tour departed from Montepuciano at about 10:30 AM. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A special shout out to Luca who gave us a great orientation and actually escorted us on a bike out of the city onto the trails. The bikes were well maintained, and powerful enough. They had an app to guide us through the beautiful countryside. For whatever reason our Canadian cell phones, which had data service in Italy, had trouble staying connected to the Google Maps along the way. Nevertheless, we found our way and had a great day we returned around 3 pm.

This was a wonderful experience and the highlight of our week in Val D’Orcia. We did the long ride option from Montepulciano to montichiello and Pienza. The lunch stop was in an amazing place with beautiful views. Food was delicious and service excellent. You can shorten the ride and skip Pienza if you want. E bikes worked great and much needed up the many hills. This is off road a majority of the time. Urban Bikery staff was excellent.

We had a fantastic day. Rode to several small towns. Stopped for wonderful two hour lunch in the countryside. Our guide Luca was AWESOME…..So much fun, enthusiastic and helpful.

This is amazing for those who are in shape and good athletes, but it is not a simple or relaxing ride. It includes many up and down hills on narrow roads with cars speeding by. I gave it 4 instead of 5 starts, because when we asked about appropriate ages for the day, there was no description about how tough it could be. Our group was age 9 - age 80. A couple of our adult members had to stop early and get picked up early. But those who are adventurous and in decent shape -- this will be amazing! The lunch was the best meal of a 2 week trip to Italy according to most of the adults.

Our Urban Bikery experience was by far our family's favorite day of our trip to Italy. Michele and Pepe went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience riding through the countryside. They were accommodating and hospitable. We had a flat tire and they drove out to make an on site repair to send us along on our way. Aside from the great bikes and hospitality, the store has some really cool gear. I bought a stylish suede jacket that Michele shipped to the U.S. for me. Overall, if you're visiting Montepulciano, you MUST visit The Urban Bikery!

This is a great experience, but a guide is a must! It is a beautiful ride through the rural countryside. Maria was a happy, lively guide. We visited two wineries that were both informative and fun. Take the choice to eat the restaurant rather than the winery because the family restaurant is not only delicious but a very authentic experience as it is located in a town with 8 homes! The terrain is very hilly both up and down which does require some athleticism and the bikes while e-bikes do require effort and again an ability to cycle. A great adventure I would recommend, the Urban Bikery staff is super!!
