Max led our small group on a great tour through 6 different villages. He kept us safe and knew all the best places to stop for beautiful pictures. He even added a few extra spots because we were ahead of schedule.
Arrived a few minutes early as the confirmation stated that the ride starts at the confirmed time. Ride began 1/2 hours into the start time. Booked this ride into Switzerland under the premise of “rural roads” once the ride began we found out that we were going to be riding on regular roads that have a significant about of traffic and no shoulders or bike lanes. As a result we were not able to go into Switzerland since no one was comfortable on the roads. The guide rode ahead of us and didn’t worry too much about whether we knew where we were going or not and there was no one behind ensuring we stayed together. This ride is for biking professionals, not people who like to ride bike paths on the weekends. Sadly it was a huge disappointment as it was to be the highlight of my trip. Waste of MONEY!!
Our guide did a wonderful job adapting the tour based on us our experience with biking. He altered our route to fit our experience (one of us hadn't biked in a while) and gave us good exploration of the surrounding area. The only complaint was that we couldn't stop as long as we would have liked (perhaps an eternity) so that we could finish on time.
Thanks dear!! :-) yeah there's a lot to explore here in Lake Como, it's great to have guests like you that are willful to discover details! Every valley here may deserve a day. Cheers!! Max.
From booking to the ride we had it was flawless and everyone in our group had a fantastic time. Our group was novice in experience but Max (owner/guide) was patient and showed us a great route through Como. Highly recommend using them for a great day!!!
Thanks so much for your kind and nice words! Always a pleasure to ride around with Happy People!
Great bike ride! Made our way up to Switzerland with incredible views. Max, our tour guide, was great, informative, and always checked with the group for questions. Recommend this tour!
Thanks a lot!! So happy you liked the ride! Cheers!
Fun activity Max was very attentive and adapted the ride accordingly. Bike was top notch! Highly recommended
Thanks Grant!! It was a pleasure riding with you and next time we can go for another road bike itinerary!
Great tour, beautiful views. Picturesque ride with good stops and pace. Couldn’t ask for a better guide and tour!
Thank you so much for your sweet words!
My family just finished an amazing bike tour with Max. We rode through Como and into Switzerland on e-bikes which were great at adding just enough assistance to get up the steep hills to enjoy the incredible scenery. Max was a wonderful guide and I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!
Thanks a lot for sharing the morning with us! It's always a pleasure to extend the ride for more views with confident bikers like you! Cheers!
Adventure and sightseeing mixed into one tour. The bikes are great and excellent for the mountains you have to climb. The bike tour leaders were top-notch and we super appreciated how they looked out for everyone's safety at all times. Highly recommend for those seeking adventure during your Lake Como trip!
Thanks Susan! Such a pleasure riding with happy and nice People like you and so glad you liked the itinerary! Cheers, Max.
Good ride but cut short! We were the only people in our group ( Originally 10:00-1:00) so Max said a 10:15 start was fine, we did arrive 15 minutes after that because of a ferry delay, so at 10:30. The original trip was to be from 10:00-1:00 on Viator's site which we booked from. Even after telling us 10:15 was a fine meeting time, we were forced to finish by 12:39 back at the bike shop. I would have expected a little more relaxed tour considering we were the only ones. We did do the whole tour but it was VERY fast and at some points it felt dangerous. I appreciate Max being flexible on the time but when he agreed to meet at 10:15 it would have been nice of him to tell us that he would also be cutting the trip short if we chose the latter time. Our trip was over $900.00. So this was disappointing and left us feeling like it was not the best value and that Viator info is not always consistent with the provider of the service. Even if we started the tour late it should have gone until 1:00, which it was booked at.
This review is a duplicate of you already wrote. Again: 10:15 fine but you arrived at 10:35. It's clearly stated that our typical arrival time is at around 12:30 to 1PM.
