Dies ist die einzige niederländische Landschaftswanderung in der Gegend von Leiden, die auch in der Nähe der niederländischen Blumenfelder liegt. Diese Tour kann auch mit einem Besuch der niederländischen Blumenfelder in der Nähe von Leiden (im Fahrzeug) kombiniert werden.

Während dieser Wanderung vergessen wir nicht, einige alte Windmühlen von außen zu besuchen, die dazu dienten, Wasser zu pumpen, um Land zurückzugewinnen. Einige davon sind die Windmühle Broekdijk und die Windmühle Boterhuis. Die Arbeit der Windmühlen sorgte dafür, dass die Holland nicht mit Meerwasser überschwemmt wurde. Diese alte Technik kann sehr einfach erlernt werden, wenn man einmal gesehen hat, wie eine Windmühle funktioniert. Wir passieren auch einen Golfplatz, auf dem die natürliche Schönheit reichlich zu sehen ist.
Dies ist auch eine der Attraktionen, auf die wir während unserer Tour stoßen. Die Windmühle der Stadt Leiden am Rande der Stadt wurde auch zum Pumpen von Wasser und zur Landgewinnung genutzt. Auch wurde es in einer anderen Phase zur Herstellung von Getreide verwendet. Wir besuchen diese Windmühle auch von außen und verbringen etwa 10-15 Minuten.
Zu Beginn dieser Wanderung gehen wir durch ein ruhiges Viertel in Richtung des Flusses Zijl. Während dieses Teils sehen Sie die Architektur typisch holländischer Häuser und Wohnungen. Der Fluss Zijl ist ein mittelgroßer Fluss, der durch Polder durch Süd- und Westholland fließt. Es hat eine malerische Landschaft, die die Menschen das ganze Jahr über genießen können. Wir gehen entlang dieses Flusses zu den Poldern und den Windmühlen, wo wir einige Fotos machen werden.
Der Rundgang endet mit einem Besuch des Kinderbauernhofs im Seengebiet. Hier sehen Sie weitere Nutztiere, die Sie in Ihrem Heimatland nicht sehen werden. Der Reiseleiter bringt Sie schließlich zum Ausgangspunkt, wo Sie mit dem Bus oder einem eigenen Transportmittel zurückkehren können. Beachten Sie, dass die Wanderung im Merenwijk in Leiden eine der einzigartigen niederländischen Wanderungen ist, die nur Holidays in Holland anbietet.
Die Windmühle Broekdijk ist auch eine malerische Windmühle im Stadtteil Merenwijk in Leiden. Es ist auch eine Windmühle, die wir von außen besichtigen werden, und Sie erhalten eine Erklärung, wie sie in früheren Jahrhunderten funktionierte. Highly recommend this tour for nature and animal lovers. PJ is local to the area and provided some great background on the polders. He even brought a light breakfast to enjoy on our walk. Broekdijkmolen and the children's farm (which is surprisingly large, basically a zoo) were highlights.
Great walk in the park with a knowledgeable guide. Enjoyable easy pace well worth the time an effort. It was money and time well spent.

We enjoyed this walking tour of a calm lakeland area near Leiden which we would otherwise not have seen. PJ's communication before hand was very good, giving us clear instructions of how to get to the meeting point. Don't let the fact you have to travel to the start point put you off. It was an easy bus ride away and you just need to tap your credit/debit card at the start and end of the journey to pay for it. PJ explained very well to us how the windmills had worked in reclaiming the polder land. We were also able to gain a bit of an insight into the Dutch way of life. PJ also gave us some light refreshments. The walk was, of course, very flat and would be suitable for all ages. We really enjoyed the tour.

Pj is an affable and informative guide who knows the land and its history quite well. The land we walked was quite scenic, and I came away with a full understanding of how the polders came about and their importance today. The break for a cup of tea as well timed also. Recommend!

We had a very pleasant walk in the good company of our guide PJ. We walked along a river, saw a mill and a farm. We had explanations about the Netherlands and our environment (the polders and others). In conclusion, a soothing and instructive walk.

It was an amazing walk in the evening with the amazing guide Punartha who was very friendly and gave us lot of explanations.
