Mostar ist die größte Stadt der Region und berühmt für seine Brücke, die den Fluss Neretva überspannt. Die Stari Most oder "Alte Brücke" wurde ursprünglich im 16. Jahrhundert erbaut und ist seitdem ein Symbol der Stadt. Sie können auch die Altstadt erkunden, die Koski Mehmed Pascha Moschee besuchen und traditionelle bosnische Küche in einem der lokalen Restaurants probieren.
Ston ist eine kleine Stadt auf der Halbinsel Peljesac, etwa eine Autostunde von Dubrovnik entfernt. Es ist vor allem für seine beeindruckenden Verteidigungsmauern bekannt, die ursprünglich im 14. Jahrhundert erbaut wurden, um die Stadt vor Eindringlingen zu schützen. Die Mauern erstrecken sich über fünf Kilometer und sind die längsten Verteidigungsmauern Europas, was sie zu einer beliebten Attraktion für Besucher macht. Neben den Mauern ist die Stadt auch berühmt für ihre Austern und andere Meeresfrüchte, die aus dem nahe gelegenen Ozean geerntet werden. Es gibt mehrere Restaurants in der Stadt, wo Sie diese frischen, lokalen Köstlichkeiten probieren können. Weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten in Ston sind das Saltworks Museum, das einen Einblick in die Geschichte der Salzgewinnung in der Region gewährt, und das Franziskanerkloster, das aus dem 14. Jahrhundert stammt und schöne gotische Architektur aufweist.
Seit 2006 haben wir 22 Hektar neue Weinberge und 1700 Olivenbäume am neuen Standort des jüngsten Weinbaugebiets Kroatiens, der Komarna, angelegt. Das Konzept des Komarna-Weinanbaugebiets, in dem alle Erzeuger biologisch registriert sind, wurde von unserer Familie erstellt, und wir initiierten auch ein Projekt. Im Jahr 2012 haben wir ein Weingut errichtet, das höchsten technologischen Standards für die Weinproduktion auf dem Territorium des Weinbergs entspricht. In unserem Weinberg gehören 90% der Reben zu den einheimischen Sorten Plavac mali und Pošip, zusammen mit der etwas vergessenen Sorte Tribidrag. Zu Ehren unseres Großvaters und Urgroßvaters, der der erste Winzer in unserer Familie war, trägt das Weingut seinen Spitznamen Rizman.

Booked a transfer with Mateo B. with an hour option at Ston, Croatia. Mateo was meticulous in contacting me a day before the trip to confirm the meeting point and he was early. As I had visited Ston the day before on an oyster & mussels tour, I asked him to change to a mid point for lunch. On the way, he stopped and showed us the Arboretum Trsteno park to stretch our legs. For lunch, he took us to Rizman Slivno winery and vineyard where we had a wonderful lunch with stunning views of the coast below. Finally we stopped by Kliss Fortress for a toilet stop and quick photos of the fort. We arrived Split and he stayed with us until i confirmed the hotel booking. As we will be in Split for 3 days, he even followed up with a message of a contact i could call should I need transportation. This is A+ service and we very much appreciated the extra time Mateo put in to show us around.
