Douro Valley Tour : Weinprobe, Kreuzfahrt und Mittagessen ab Porto

My partner and I took this tour during our stay in Porto, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Miguel was an exceptional guide from start to finish. During the roughly hour-and-a-half drive to the Douro Valley, he kept everyone engaged by sharing his extensive knowledge of Portuguese wines and his genuine passion for the region. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and did a great job setting expectations for the day while making everyone feel comfortable. The Douro Valley itself is absolutely breathtaking—it’s the kind of place that looks like it’s straight out of a painting. The itinerary was well thought out, giving us plenty of opportunities to take in the scenery while enjoying some excellent wine tastings, which naturally focused more on Port wines. The included lunch was also delicious. I’d also like to give a shoutout to our bus driver, who skillfully navigated the large coach bus along the valley’s narrow, winding roads. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

Amazing experience Igor and our driver Tiago were a 10/10 this tour would not be as amazing without them. Just a couple of things to note this is a great experience if you want a light touch port experience. The cruise on the Douro is short but you get to see why this area is special. The port wine tours were great and provide a great intro into Port and you should definitely use the knowledge to visit other wineries or lodges in Porto.

A brilliant day Ricardo R & the driver Taco??just great, entertaining and very knowledgeable. Early start so grab a coffee before getting on the bus as no food/drinks allowed on board , 1st stop is about 1.5hrs after start. Was a great group who all got on well 😁

Catarina valeca was a wonderful guide. Was personal fun and very professional at the same time. We couldnt get a better guide The bus driver was competent and careful.

The whole experience was great! Catarina was a wonderful bus attendant, she had control, was so good at telling things during the tour that were interesting and she offered herself, so the bus trip was so fun!

Learned a lot about the history of port wine and regional significance. The countryside was beautiful but the whole excursion was simply too long. From 8:30am to 6:30pm and we were on the bus for 95% of it. Our first stop for wine wasn’t until 1:00 and it was much less enjoyable to drink while also being so hungry. We didn’t stop for food until 3:00 which by then we were hot, starving, and a little nauseous. All in all our guide was knowledgeable and the wine tasting enjoyable but took up too much of our day too be worth it when we were only in Portugal for a short trip.

We had an exceptional day! Milena was an outstanding guide: very professional, smiling, funny, and always attentive. Thanks to her, the excursion was not only very well organized but also exciting and enjoyable from start to finish. The journey took place in a modern and comfortable coach, with air conditioning, which made the trip very pleasant. The tastings were very interesting and perfectly organized. The meals were delicious, with unlimited wine during lunch, which was greatly appreciated. Everything went perfectly on time, without any delays. We recommend this excursion and especially Milena 100%. A big thank you for this wonderful experience!

Milena was such an amazing tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about all of the city’s history and everything about wine! She played great music and kept the energy up during our long van rides. She kept us on schedule but also moved at the pace that our group needed. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to visit the Duoro Valley!
