We waited an hour for a pick up after hopping off in 98 degree weather. Finally gave up and took Lyft. Very disappointing
Good way to get a feel of a new city. Recommend doing near the beginning of the trip so you can get an understanding of Philadelphia if new to the city. We stayed on the bus so we did not get a feel of hoping on and off.
It was a awesome experience, the tour guide was very professional, knew a lot of history about philly.
My friends and I rode the first 9:30 AM bus starting from stop #1. Maria and Tom did a great job. We got off for lunch and waited about 20 minutes at stop #17 before we saw a bus coming. Three of us were standing under the sign, I waved, and I thought I made eye contact with the bus driver, but he passed us by. Rather than waiting another 20+ minutes for the next bus and possibly having the same experience, we walked back to stop #1 and didn't have enough time in our schedule to risk riding the bus again. The tour started off well, but I was disappointed it wasn't the hop on hop off experience we wanted.
Please be aware: the lower deck is open to the upper deck, so no air conditioning is available there. If you cannot tolerate heat, please avoid this bus during a heat wave, as conditions may become uncomfortable or even unsafe for elderly passengers and babies. We experienced this firsthand on a tour in June 2026 and had to disembark at the next stop.
The fact that my ticket covered two tour bus companies was not obvious when I purchased the ticket. Recommend you clarify this fact in your advertising.
We were in Philly the weekend before 4th of July for a World Cup Game. We were able to use both the Philly Sightseeing AND Big Bus tours. About 25-minutes between the two for pickups. The best was both tours had AMAZING Tour Guides!!! Not the recorded loop we've gotten on other tours. Each guide had slightly different details and highlights they pointed out - very well spoken, witty, and full of details. They truly made the tour!
Seats are not made for larger people. Otherwise great tour with Arial!! She is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This tour was city Philly hop on hop off bus tour, which was awesome. The people at city tours were extremely helpful and gave us a lot of information. One of the things we found out that we weren’t aware of was that we were able to go on a different day than the day we had picked the actual ticket is good for one year from when you purchase it that was not indicator in Viator as we found out when we went two days later and the Viator app had acted as if we had already done the tour, so make sure you save the email. That was the only way we were able to access our tickets via tour needs to look into that the other great thing about city tour Valley is that you can also go on the big bus if you need to they share ticketing and the other really good thing is that if you are staying in a hotel in the city center, which we are, they will come and pick you up in Shuttle to drive you to the first stop which is near independence. Hall area would’ve been a pretty long walk or a rideshare car so very, very nice and convenient we were able to call them this morning that we were going and they showed up right on time.
Good way to see the city. Lots of information and things to see. Especially nice if you have limited time.
