We’re happy you enjoyed the cooking activity, garden walk, and the visit to a local Balinese family. Regarding the fireflies, we completely understand your concern. Sadly, firefly habitats in Bali are decreasing due to development and environmental changes — this is exactly why we created this experience: to raise awareness and encourage protection of their habitat. About the bottles, we would like to clarify that the fireflies are only gently caught for a very short time for educational purposes, and we always release them back into the same area. They are never kept or taken away. Through this tour, we also support the local community in maintaining the environment so fireflies can still survive and reproduce, even in the middle of rapid development in Bali.
