Nach der Abholung besuchen wir Wat Umong. Dieser im Wald gelegene Tempel unterscheidet sich völlig von anderen typischen Tempeln, dieser ist in einem Tunnel gebaut. Betreten Sie die Tunnel von Wat Umong und sehen Sie die beeindruckenden Buddha-Bilder. Es spielt keine Rolle, welcher Religion Sie angehören. Wenn Sie den Tunnel betreten, flüstert er Ihnen die Geheimnisse dieser Welt und die alte Geschichte dieses 1297 erbauten Tempels zu.
Steigen Sie wieder in den Minivan und fahren Sie durch die sanften Hügel rund um Chiang Mai, um den Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep zu erleben. Steigen Sie dann eine Treppe mit 306 Stufen hinauf, die zum Tempel Doi Suthep führt. Diese Treppe, die zu der Stätte führt, ist mit dem beeindruckenden Körper der mythischen drachenköpfigen Schlange oder Naga geschmückt, die sich 306 Stufen nach unten schlängelt. Dies ist definitiv der beste Weg, um sich dem Tempel zu nähern, aber es gibt auch eine Standseilbahn, wenn Sie weniger sicher auf den Beinen sind. Just a cathartic evening of spirituality. Rising above Chiang Mai to witness the majestic grounds of this temple was amazing.
Nice small group and knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Both sites also have lots of history and worth seeing up close. Would have been nice to watch the sunset from the viewing platform at the top of the steps but that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting both sites. We chose the evening tour and were not disappointed. The air-conditioned van ride, both Pick Up and Drop Off to and from hotel, was safe and comfortable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, attentive, respectful and friendly. He was mindful of the range of ages and needs in his group, and provided support when needed. He took the time to highlight interesting historical references, meanings, and insights we would otherwise have missed. Doi Suthep was especially stunning, a feast for the eyes that left us speechless and in awe. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience

It is worth this night visit. In addition to seeing it illuminated, heat and crowds of tourists are avoided. The girl who made us the guide very good, gave us very interesting information. Then he gave us a very good restaurant recommendation for dinner and even took us there. Top!

Great experience. Our guide took the time to explain what Buddhism entails. He explained the story of the Buddha through the fresco that goes around the temple. It was really great. And the Doi Suthep at night plus the view of Chiang Mai is absolutely to do
