Lots of fun! Another way to discover a city while having fun. A essayer absolument. This is a first experience that will certainly be followed by others. Part of family fun while cultivating.

The Alchemist escape tour is a fun way to explore Mechelen and at the same time learn something about the city. The tour takes you past the most beautiful places in the city where you have to solve various riddles based on clues on and around the buildings. We saw some reviews that said the riddles were wrong, but when we did the tour, we noticed that these things were already updated in the app. So nice to see that the tour and app are maintained. Furthermore, the app and the card work smoothly and intuitively.

Another entertaining and cheap way to get to know the city. Too bad it wasn't in Spanish. We will repeat in some of the ones we have left to visit.
I would give 4 stars if I had smaller children or didn't know Mechelen at all. You have the assignments that move the story forward and then you have optional missions. I often play computer games so I thought I would do all the optional missions too. But they didn't really add anything to the story. The assignments were level 8-12 years, I would say. With maybe one that was a bit more difficult. I needed the helpdesk and they were very helpful.

Nice mix of puzzles and riddles and information about sights in the city itself. It took a while to find the answers, but in the end they were all doable. In terms of percentages we seemed to be a bit behind for a while, but at the end it suddenly went quite quickly and we still had about half an hour left. Nice accessible experience!
