Die Kunst Geishas: Exklusive Show & Gion Walking Tour

Rin was our guide and he was amazing, so knowledgeable and engaging. This tour is without a doubt one of the most memorable experiences I have had on any of my travels. I will be recommending to my friends who are visiting later in the year. Thank you to Rin and Haruka and the amazing Maiko Sam we spent quality time with. She was beautiful and fun, graceful and engaging. I would do this tour again and again.

Our guide, Josh was excellent, friendly and informative. He shared so much interesting information about Geisha. The show was amazing! Fumi-aya was so beautiful and friendly. We really enjoyed her Japanese dance and she was so cute answering all of our questions and even playing a game with us. This exceeded our expectations and was truly enjoyed by all!

This was a really special experience. We started with a walking tour through a few of the districts of Gion with our guide, Satsuki, who was excellent. She shared lots of interesting and relevant insight into this fascinating part of the city, and did a great job keeping the group together as we navigated the busy streets. After the walk, we were taken to a beautifully decorated back room of a fan shop, where we were served tea and a small sweet – a really nice, calming moment before the highlight of the afternoon. Meeting a Maiko was such a privilege. She performed a beautifully choreographed dance, answered questions, and even played some games with us. She was incredibly sweet, and it gave us such a fascinating glimpse into this cultural tradition. The whole experience felt very personal and something quite unique – I’d highly recommend it.

What a great time I had on the Art Of Geisha Tour. Mona was my guide and was very knowledgeable in showing things you might miss if just walking Gion on your own. The Maiko part was special and very entertaining as you do not get to see one unless you book a tour. I would highly recommend!

I am very happy that I took part in this event. We have done a lovely walk through the streets of Gion and wondered into Miyagawacho. Ai is a very knowledgeable guide who is also very passionate about the world of geisha, so it is not just any topic for her and I think this is a strong profile of a good guide. When we arrived at the establishment, we got to enjoy tea with wagashi. Soon after the maiko has arrived we saw two beautiful dances followed by a Q&A and a photo session. After that each of us played tosenkyo with her :) She is clearly a champion, it was a lot of fun and laughter. I really enjoyed this, it was charming, well structured, it vas really good. I could do this in turns.

Incredible experience! Both for the activity and our guide Ai, who was very clear in her stories, very near and trying to help with everything. Will never forget the uniqueness of meeting a maiko for the first time, interact with her and even play a local game. Thnx a lot!!!!

Walking tour with Ai as our guide was great. She is lovely and very knowledgeable. Small group of only 6 people makes good atmosphere. Maiko show is definitely something you should experience while visiting Kyoto.

A highlight of our trip for sure!!! Genki was informative during our walking tour and highlighted the history of the area and a few fun shops! The maiko experience was fantastic!! She preformed two dances and we had a great Q&A session and pics and played a game. Very cool experience and I’m so pleased we booked the tour!

Such a fun and insightful experience. Our guide Ai spoke fluent English and was very informative. I almost beat the maiko at her own game.

It was a once in a lifetime experience. Ai san was a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable of Kyoto and Geiko culture.
