Reiseverlauf

After another tour operator cancelled our wine tour last minute, I booked this one. What a blessing!! Michael called me to let me know he would pick us up in his Mercedes Sprinter (he picks up at any downtown Vancouver hotel btw) and we were his only guests so we would have the VIP experience. And that it was! We visited three very unique wineries with incredible wines. We purchased bottles at each location and I even signed up for a delivery service from one. Michael was super kind and so knowledgeable about the area we travelled. He truly made the experience so memorable for my daughter and I. He even stopped in Langley on the way back and let us wander around the cute little town for half an hour. If you are weighing your options, this is the tour to select. You will not be disappointed.
Michael our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable of the whole area. He also had a nice little lunch prepared for us. I would recommend this wine tour.
My motto is you can't have a good time without good food so the wine tour come with your own personal snack bag of three cheeses, crackers, mineral water, mixed nuts, chocolates cake, fruit and a natural sparkling water, best regards michael lawrence
The experience was excellent, enjoyable and very informative. We were picked up dead on time,at our hotel. This pick up was gratifying, not having to worry about finding your way about in a strange city. The drive out to the wineries was an interesting and informative experience .as we learned about the sites we passed and the history of Vancouver. The three wineries were all beautiful and individual and you could read about the wines from a menu and choose your selections. You were then told about the history and flavour points of the wines you had chosen. Many of them award winning! You do not get a full glass mind you, as it is a tasting., not a pub crawl. It is enough though. You can choose sparkling options too. You pay for your selections at the end. These came to approx 20 Canadian dollars, depending of course on your choices. The prices are clear. The last visit to the mead winery was my personal favourite, where the wines were mead wines. We had a delicious selection of cheeses, biscuits , crackers, nuts and cake. Supplied by our courier.Oneof the meads was paired with a beautiful chocolate cheese and another with chocolate. I wanted to buy a bottle of the pumpkin mead wine and the fig. However, we were travelling on to Japan and my case was heavy enough. Also, the cruise lines charge 30 dollars corkage on wine brought aboard!! The vehicle was comfy and afforded a good view. The courier was very knowledgeable and interesting. A very pleasant person with a great sense of humour and a fascinating eclectic background . A man not afraid of hard work, or grasping what life holds.. A real artisan . A nice man.Safety was a priority, with a strong wooden step to alight the bus. One he had made himself The day was one I will always remember with affection.. Well done Morwen
Thank you Morwen for the nice indepth experience review, I want only the best for my guests, if you visit us again I offer the Grand City Tour, best regards michael lawrence
Michael was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, and the bus was very comfortable to ride in. Would have given the tour 5 stars, but we only visited 3 out of the 5 wineries on the itinerary due to midweek closures.
It is presently harvest time so we did the standard 3 best wineries and the other two optional vineyards were not available due to the grape being early and ready for harvest, regards Lawrence
Wonderful way to visit local wineries and hear about local history. Good variety of tastings and knowledge of wine making.
The tour was good. The driver Mike picked us up and took us to three wineries. He pointed out points of interests and told us many historical stories about the area. A bonus was the light lunch which was provided.
Thanks for the review, the chacutrie is provided for each guest they get there own gift bag of three cheeses , special crackers, mixed nuts, chocolate, fruit, cake and a Canadian naturaly sparkling water
Great experience! All of the recommendations were in the description. Michael was phenomenal! I would do it again!
Thank you, thank you very much. :} will have new experiences in 2026, best travels Michael Lawence
I went to four wineries. It was nice to testaine a variety of wines. Lunch was not enough because it was a snack. I could have paid for it, so maybe I could have had lunch.
Thank you for the review , we visit a selection of traditional wineries and provide Charcuterie on the third winery of three cheeses, crackers, mixed nuts, chocolates, sparkling water, fruit, and cake which is included in the tour, we dont provide lunch.
Michael kept us entertained on the tour with facts about the area, anecdotes and jokes. The selected wineries were friendly and welcoming with a good selection of local, near local wines and mead. Also appreciated the collection and drop off to the front door of our accommodation.
Thank you, i always pick up my guests from any Hotels or B@B in the Vancouver downtown core or sorounding areas, please call me after booking to confirm location for pick up and any food allergies as we make a special chacutrie for every guest. regards Lawrence
Unique wine tasting tour in the Fraser Valley. Easy pick up from downtown Vancouver to several interesting winery options. We loved every single place, and the driver was really knowledgeable about the region and wine places. Highly recommend it!
We are lucky in Vancouver to have a Valley with the same enviroment as Tuscany, one hour east of downtown Vancouver for great wine and good times, regards Lawrence
