Auf dieser Tour werden wir die wunderschöne Landschaft bewundern und durch die ruhigen Gassen und an den Kirchen von Savoca und Forza d'Agrò vorbeispazieren, die beide als Drehorte für den Film „Der Pate“ dienten. Sie werden die Atmosphäre dieses faszinierenden und bewegenden Films wirklich spüren. Damit Sie die Atmosphäre des Films in vollen Zügen genießen können, zeigen wir Ihnen mithilfe audiovisueller Mittel die wichtigsten Szenen, die an den jeweiligen Drehorten gedreht wurden.

In Savoca werden wir die Orte besuchen, an denen einige Szenen des Films „Der Pate“ gedreht wurden. Zunächst einmal die Bar Vitelli, wo Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) mit Apollonias Vater spricht, um um ihre Hand anzuhalten. Dann die Kirche San Nicolò, in der die beiden geheiratet haben. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, die faszinierenden Katakomben des Kapuzinerklosters und die Kirche Santa Maria degli Angeli zu besichtigen.
Besuch von Forza D'Agrò, einem bezaubernden mittelalterlichen Dorf mit Blick auf die Küste in Richtung Messina. Viele Szenen des Films wurden in diesem Dorf gedreht; so ist dies beispielsweise der Ort, an dem Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) und seine Handlanger durch die Straßen von Corleone schlendern. Hier wurden die Szenen gedreht, in denen Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) als Kind mit Hilfe eines Freundes der Familie aus Sizilien flieht, nachdem seine Eltern vom örtlichen Mafiaboss ermordet worden waren. Er durchquert das Dorf, versteckt in einem großen Korb, der an der Seite eines Esels befestigt ist.
Man kann einen Abstecher zum „Castello degli Schiavi“ (Schlavenburg) in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia einplanen, wo mehrere Szenen des Films gedreht wurden, insbesondere jene, in der die junge Apollonia, die Frau von Michael Corleone, durch eine Bombe im Auto ums Leben kommt. We had a fantastic Godfather tour with Giuseppe. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us all the important sights. His English was excellent as well. We highly recommend him!
Our tour guide was Marcelo, he made a tour and experience. He not only gave fun facts but the passion and knowledge on everything about the Godfather movies and the area was very impressive. If you go to Sicily and are a intrigued about the La Costra Nostra, this is your tour and Marcelo is your guide! Your friends Francesco and Giovani!
Charming hill towns with lots of steep walking but beautiful so very worth the effort. We saw many places where the Godfather was filmed - sadly missed the villa but saw all the rest. Watch the first Godfather before taking the tour. Great little restaurant for pizza and wine too.

The godfather movie tour provider is very irresponsible. Our private tour was reserved 2 days earlier, but on the day nobody showed up at 8:30 am to pickup us from the hotel as arranged. No response to our messages. After help from our hotel desk, it turned out the provider was running out of guides or cars, but didn’t bother to let us know. After protests, they finally booked us in the late afternoon (3:30 pm) for this “5 to 7 hours tour”. We had other pre arranged tours for next few days so have to accept this unwelcome change. Very disappointed, please DONT USE THIS TOUR. Our guide is very good though, friendly and knowledgeable, very helpful.
We apologize again for the inconvenience! I understand your disappointment, but we didn't receive the booking notification email from Viator; in fact, we did, but it ended up in our spam folder. I don't know how this happened; it's the first time it happens. For this reason, we weren't scheduled for your excursion. Despite this, we did everything we could to accommodate your request and managed to find a solution, and you had a wonderful experience, as you yourself admitted. We always respond to booking notification emails within 24 hours of receipt.
Wonderful driver Martino and company went out of their way to make our trip work on short notice with just areas we wanted to see.
I highly recommend this tour for both Godfather film fans, and visitors who want to get away from the city and see the beautiful Sicilian countryside. Our guide, Ricardo, was outstanding and shared his vast knowledge of the film locations. It was awesome to be able to see inside some of the sites - much more than what is seen in the films. We did go to the Castle of the Slaves, based on Ricardo’s recommendation, and it was a highlight of the tour. So glad we did this tour. It was a perfect day in gorgeous Sicily!
We were very excited to do The Godfather Tour. And it exceeded our expectations. The island of Sicily is so beautiful. It is one of my favorite places that I have ever been. The village of Savoca was amazing with incredible views, and delicious food and drinks at Bar Vitelli. We also enjoyed the Village of Forza d'Agrò. We were going to skip the third stop at Castello degli Schiavi. Our tour guide Riccardo highly recommend adding it so we did. What a treat! The gentleman who lives there gave us a tour of the beautiful property that has been in his family since 1630s. WE LOVED THIS TOUR!!!
Giuseppe was fantastic. Definitely do the add on to the home where Michael Corleone’ s family home, Costello Degli Shiavi. That was the highlight of the tour. The Barone as your guide was absolutely a gem. We loved every minute of the tour. Such fun and totally interesting. Highly recommend!
Ricardo was so knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to show us as much as possible. He made sure we were happy and comfortable at all times. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful place and I only wish we had more time to experience more of it!
