Basically a build your own deep dish pizza. They don’t actually teach you but they do give you the recipe for everything to take with you. Overall it was still good and tasty!

Meh

The environment is ok. They have te ingredients pre set for you basically to just dump them into the dough that’s also already made for you. The guide was talking to just one table directly not focusing on my table so when she gave historical facts my table didn’t hear any of it. I went with family that only spoke Spanish and she saw me translating then she briefly used Spanish and didn’t try to continue to accommodate. I wouldn’t pay for this again. It’s too expensive for what you get.

Deeply disappointed!

I wanted to enjoy this experience, but it was a disappointment. You get two drinks, but it takes so long to get the first, there is no time for a second. One person at our table got her pizza as others were getting boxes to go. There was absolutely no info about the history/story of Chicago pizza - which I thought was a missed opportunity. Really it boils down to this was overbooked. Everything felt rushed and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Sad times.

Good experience that could have been a great experience.

The class was fun but not really what I expected. A tad pricey for a personal pizza (with veggies or pepperoni) and a glass of wine or a beer. It would have cost less to just dine in. The dough was pre-made, although a recipe was included. So it's not really a pizza "making" class but rather a pizza assembling class. Perhaps offer one class where dough can be made and allowed to ferment for use in the next class, just a suggestion. And allow participants to choose which class they'd like to take. I would have enjoyed a more hands-on experience better and maybe paid a little more. The toppings included veggies and pepperoni so don't expect to assemble a sausage pizza. That won't happen. The reason given was the Board of Health does not allow participants to handle raw pork. Not certain why since any food item can be handled safely - even pork. And gloves are provided. Even if this is true, it should not prevent staff from providing pre-formed, refrigerated pork patties for those who prefer sausage pizza. The Board of Health probably frowns on pork sitting out at room temp as the other ingredients were. Overall, it was still an enjoyable event and I'm happy to have had the experience.

Above and beyond expectations

Everyone was so accommodating. big thanks to the manager Robert, the instructor Lupe and Julie and Romero for all the help. They went above and beyond. The class was entertaining, interactive and the pizza tasted amazing. Lots of fresh ingredients were provided for making the pizza however you want. And the secret really is in the dough. Would go again for sure. Perfect weekend activity solo or with loved ones.

Pizza making class

Lupe was a fantastic teacher!, and the pizzas turned out great! The atmosphere of this vintage pizza joint made the experience even more special.

Nice solo experience

I wasn't expecting much interaction with others at my table, but they were cool. Thete were two long rows of tables, so you got up close and personal. Disposable gloves were provided for everyone as food items, with the exception of personal pan dough, were presented family-style. The leaders gave a brief overview of how the restaurants got started and then talked us through the pizza making process. Overall, I had a great time!
