Fantastic experience and our Masha was great. He stopped for comfort breaks throughout the day when required and did his best to show us as many of the animals Tsavo east has to offer. Highlights were the close encounters with a herd of Elephant cows and Calfs, the large Black Mamba that Masha spotted trackside and the Crocodiles on the river. We are seasoned Safari goers and found Tsavo east to be one of the prettiest and diverse parks we have been to. Thanks again for a wonderful if not tiring day.
Safari tour operator and driver were very friendly and accommodating. We could not have asked for a better company.
Tsavo is huge! This tour lets you see Tsavo East, which is probably more than enough for most people unless you want to do a multi day Safari. I saw tons of elephants as well as lions, zebras, gazelles, hippos, ostriches… you name it… I saw it (aside from rhinos, we didn’t see any rhinos). Keep in mind pick up will be very early in the morning - like 5 AM early in the morning. There is a lunch buffet available in the park. It’s reasonably priced and pretty good - plus you get to eat near a lot of elephants… so if you’d like elephants all the better. My tour guide was excellent, he really knew his way around the park. You will run into other vehicles at specific locations when certain animals are visible. This is a good thing because the drivers communicate with one another to ensure that all tourist see what they’re looking for. Again, this is a long day so be prepared. It’s definitely worth the trip and I recommend you do so if you have the opportunity.
Jeff was my guide and he was awesome ... patient and excellent with his explanations and stories. The transport arrived on time, was clean and reliable. This experience I would certainly recommend and do again. Oh yes, I did see lionesses, zebra, giraffe, hippos, buffalo, ostrich, and elephants .... I was very fortunate! Thanks guys.
Great one day Safari to Tsavo East from Diani, good communication and our guide/driver Kelly was brilliant. He gave us some history about Kenya on the journey and told us lots about the animals in the park. Good experience that I would recommend!
The experience, if going with another guide/car, would be excellent. The driver came an hour and a half late and the car was less than road worthy. The suspension on the car was bad and the inside was rusty with bolts hanging out of the covers.
Hi Sudhir, our sincere apologies for this. Another client identified as you & got picked up in the morning. They had already been on the road for 30 minutes before this was discovered. And it took them another 30 Min to get back. This has never happened and we sincerely apologise for the same. On the vehicle suspension, the parks have unpaved & naturally rough roads, with corrugations. As a result, you may experience some vehicle vibrations and noise during the safari. We sincerely apologise for inconvenience caused in the safari.
I booked the 1 day package and it was amazing. It’s only a 2 hour drive to get to the park from Mombasa. The transport was comfortable and spacious and the guide, Kasimu was very friendly. Inside the park I got to spot 4 out of the big 5 animals, which was great for me. I even witnessed lions hunting zebras and got a lot of photos and videos. The national park itself is very beautiful and scenic. And the guide was explaining quite well and answered all my questions. His English was great and I could understand him perfectly. He also stopped whenever I wanted to take photos. Kasimu also advised on lunch options (not included in the price), which i decided to have outside the park as it was cheaper. It’s good that they give you options and not force you to spend on more expensive restaurants inside the park. I will definitely come back one day to do a longer safari as I left wanting more.
The safari was a great experience. Francis knew a lot about the park. He told us a lot about the animals. We saw a lot of different animals aswell. Elephants, zebra, baboon, hippo, lion and many more! Definitly recommend!
We really enjoyed this day in Tsarvo East. It was our first safari so cannot compare to any other experience. However we had relatively low expectations due to reviews that Tsarvo West was better and that May isn't the best time for a safari. We however had the best day of our holiday. We were picked up at 5am from our accommodation in Malindi by Francis who was a really lovely and knowledgeable guide. He was brilliant at spotting animals and stopping for us to watch and take photos. We saw lots of elephants and zebra. The giraffes were majestic. Other animals included warthogs, monkeys, a few hippo hiding in the water holes, jackals, impala, antelope, ostrich, lizards, birds, snakes and 2 lions hiding from the heat. Plus a line of camels on the way home being driven by Masai shepherds. I appreciate you never know what you're going to see, but we felt like we ticked off at least one of everything we cared about. The vehicle wasn't a trendy 4x4 land cruiser, but was a very comfortable Toyota and despite approx 14 hours on bumpy roads, none of us got car sick or sore necks which is what I was expecting. I have a bad neck and didn't need ibuprofen during which was a good sign of comfort. It had the pop up roof so you can stand up and see the animals well and take great photos. We had a choice of bringing our own lunch or stopping at a lodge which is what we chose. For KES2500 per person there was a nice hot buffet with elephant platform and monkeys roaming. We felt we got good value for money that enabled us to have a safari experience. Thank you for a very memorable and fun day.
Good communication, perfectly on time. Francis is a very experienced safari guide, honest and very friendly. It was a pleasure having him with me and my family. I highly recommend him.
