Wir fahren von Tirana in Richtung Shkoder. Shkodra ist die einzige erwähnte illyrische Hauptstadt im 3. und 2. Jahrhundert v. Bei einem Besuch der Burg Rozafa erleben wir nicht nur die Vormachtstellung der Illyrer gegenüber ihren Feinden, die sich in einer so imposanten Burg befinden, sondern auch einen atemberaubenden 360 - Grad - Blick über das Tal, die beiden Flüsse Buna und Drin, den See von Shkoder und die umgebende Berge.
Wir werden eine Wanderung in „Gjuhadol“ unternehmen, einer neu renovierten Fußgängerzone mit italienischen und österreichischen architektonischen Einflüssen, die die historischen Verbindungen dieser Stadt mit diesen beiden Ländern belegen. Dann können wir das Marubi-Museum (optional) (Meisterfotograf des ausgehenden 19. Jahrhunderts) besichtigen, in dem eine Ausstellung alter Drucke ausgestellt ist. Er machte das erste Foto auf dem Balkan im Jahr 1856. Marubi hat eine Fülle von 500 000 Glasnegativen hinterlassen. Die Auswahl der Drucke, die wir sehen werden, zeigt die Menschen und das Leben der Region vor fast zwei Jahrhunderten.
In Lezhe sehen wir das Mausoleum von Skanderbeg, dem Nationalhelden der Albaner. Er wurde in der Kirche des Heiligen Nikolaus begraben.
Unter unserem Nationalhelden Scanderbeg fahren wir zum Kruja-Zentrum des albanischen Widerstands gegen die Osmanen. Er hielt die osmanischen Armeen 25 Jahre lang davon ab, nach Westeuropa zu gelangen, und sicherte sich so den Titel "Athleta Christi", den der damalige Papst verlieh. Wir werden das Skanderbeg Museum und ein reichhaltiges Ethnographisches Museum besuchen, in dem fast alle Gegenstände aus dem späten 19. Jahrhundert original sind. Schließlich machen wir uns auf den Weg durch Krujas berühmten Basar voller traditioneller Handarbeiten und Souvenirs. Rückkehr nach Tirana.

The excursion to Kruja and Shkodra was a fantastic experience. Everything was very well organized and the places are impressive, full of history and with beautiful landscapes. Our guide, Jetmir, was very friendly, close and always attentive, explaining everything clearly and making the tour very pleasant. A very complete and highly recommended experience.

Everything was on wheels. Another company canceled the tour that same day in the morning, we called Aria travel and in less than 1 hour we were riding in the van on the way to Shköder. Jetmir our guide has been charming, very attentive and has fulfilled all our wishes and expectations. The trip has lasted longer than anticipated due to traffic and other matters and has had no problem explaining and teaching all the stops of our tour, always cheerful and close. I highly recommend this company.

I did the tour in Italian with Ervis because in Spanish it was not available. He tried to make me feel comfortable. Highly recommended

It was a magnificent experience. We contracted two excursions with the agency: the first day, Lake Belshi and Berat, and the segundp, Krujë and Shkodër. The guide, Gleni, was very friendly throughout. He spoke Spanish very well and helped us to get to know the places visited and the Albanian history and culture. I recommend this company without any doubt.

Excellent tour company with very reasonable prices, almost too reasonable so was expecting a ride to famous places with a little information given but I was pleasantly surprised. We had the best tour guide I have ever had & I’ve been to 20 different countries. I signed up for tours because after I arrived it took me about 1 minute after getting in my friends car to decide there’s no way I was going to drive in Albania & I’ve driven in most of the countries I’ve visited. I only listed one tour but the first tour to Berati was so well done we signed up for the Two day tour to Gjirokastra and Saranda (Butrint was included) and the one day tour to Kruja & Shkroda. Having Gleni as a guide was like having your cousin or other family member show you around.

I was a private tpur for 6 people with a magnificicent guide who was able to speak spanish. GREAT VIEWS, great explanation, the tour included lunch in restaurant with typical food, very nice food. Highly recomend this tour.
