Beide legendären Städte wurden durch den gleichen Ausbruch von 79 n. Chr. Begraben. Bei dieser halbtägigen Tour werden Sie verstehen, dass es viele Unterschiede zwischen Pompeji und Herculaneum gibt. Wir werden die wichtigsten öffentlichen Gebäude sehen, die die Archäologen in Pompeji gefunden haben. In Herculaneum werden wir stattdessen die privaten Gebäude untersuchen. Wir werden auch die Unterschiede des Ausbruchs erklären, der die beiden Städte begraben hat und der es erlaubt, in Pompeji die Gipsabgüsse und in Herculaneum das karbonisierte Holz von vor zweitausend Jahren zu sehen.

Ungefähr 2 Stunden in Pompeji, wo wir einige der öffentlichen Gebäude (Theater, Thermalbäder, Forum und seine Umgebung) und das Lupanare (das berühmte Bordell) sehen werden.
In Herculaneum sehen wir die Privathäuser und Geschäfte (Bäckerei, Thermopolium), die mit wunderschönen Fresken, Mosaiken und Stuckverzierungen verziert sind.

We had a fabulous tour of Herculaneum and Pompeii. Roberto was an excellent guide - his English near perfect and his knowledge exceptional. He explained so much detail to us , setting the scene, the geography and what happened on the day of the volcanic eruption. It was fascinating. We spent a wonderful day with Roberto on this stimulating tour of Herculaneum and Pompeii. Roberto is an expert archeologist and this was obvious throughout the tour. The baths in particular were overwhelming and the original medallion covered ceiling was awe inspiring. The tour was adjusted to our needs and Roberto even arranged for a car and wonderful driver (Diego) to pick us up at our hotel and drive us to Herculaneum and Pompeii. This was an exceptional experience and well worth the price.
After consulting with Roberto to make sure we used our time in the Pompeii area wisely, we toured the Archaeological ruins of Pompeii and the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum. We broke these tours into different days and thoroughly enjoyed each. Walked away with more information and insight than ever imagined. After the Herculaneum tour, Roberto encouraged us to take a drive to the Almafi coast. He provided town points that created a loop to the Almafi coast and back to Pompei. What an incredible drive. We would not have been able to do this without the expert assistance from a local person. The consultation was key to pur incredible visit.
I contacted Roberto about private guided tours in Pompeii, Herculaneum and Oplonti about 10 days before arriving in Napoli. Roberto was able to organize one day in Pompeii and 1/2 day each in Herculaneum and Oplonti. Due to short notice, Roberto was not able to serve as my guide the whole time but arranged for Francesco and Fabio (also both archeologist) to guide me for parts of the trip. All three guides were very knowledgeable and did a great job. Roberto did a superb job of making things happen on short notice. I would not hesitate to use his services again. Top notch!

Tour - Pompeii and Herculaneum In Oct., I spent ten days on the Salerno Peninsula aka Amalfi Coast. Researching the trip, there were numerous areas that I wanted to visit and learn more about. I also researched many guides on line and kept coming back to Roberto as presenting the most consistent outlines of the specific areas that I wanted to visit. I wasn’t disappointed with my choice. Pompeii and Herculaneum are large areas to cover. I found that Roberto started out with overall explanations of the sites and then focused on individual aspects. He often returned the presentation to points which he had covered explaining in detail coordinating the relationships between sites and individual aspects . I felt that Roberto had a consistent tour plan to both sites and that I was shown an indepth walking tour which covered the highlights of the sites.

Amazing!! This was not our first time going to Pompeii but it was definitely the most informative, Interesting and exciting. Roberto’s ability to give you a basic comprehensive approach to these sites, provide understandable information to novices and be attentive to everyone is superior to any guide! If you are considering going on your own, don’t ! You will miss out. He and the tour were amazing!!
Roberto’s knowledge of the Greek and Roman civilizations was outstanding and he made the tours of these 2 historical sites come to life.
