Dieser Tempel ist einzigartig in ganz Ägypten – direkt in die Klippen von Deir el-Bahari gebaut, wurde er für eine der mächtigsten Frauen der alten Geschichte, Königin Hatschepsut, entworfen. Seine Terrassen, Statuen und die Ausrichtung auf die aufgehende Sonne zeigen ihren Ehrgeiz, als wahrer Pharao in Erinnerung zu bleiben.“
Tal der Könige, die ewige Ruhestätte der größten Pharaonen Ägyptens. Vor über 3.000 Jahren wählten die Herrscher des Neuen Reiches dieses versteckte Wüstental, umgeben von Klippen, als heilige Grabstätte. Sie ritzten tiefe Gräber in den Fels, füllten sie mit Schätzen, heiligen Texten und Gemälden als Fortgeschrittener durch das Jenseits. Im Gegensatz zu den Pyramiden des Alten Reiches, die hoch und sichtbar standen, waren diese Gräber als geheim gedacht – geschützt vor Grabräubern und bewacht von der Wüste selbst. Hier finden Sie über 60 Königsgräber, darunter das weltberühmte Grab Tutanchamuns, das 1922 fast unversehrt entdeckt wurde. Jedes Grab erzählt eine Geschichte, nicht nur vom Tod, sondern auch von der Reise des Pharaos zur Unsterblichkeit.“
Diese beiden riesigen Statuen sind über 18 Meter hoch und bewachten einst den Eingang eines massiven Tempels, der von Pharao Amenhotep III. erbaut wurde. Noch heute sind sie stolz darauf, nach über 3000 Jahren Besucher im Westjordanland von Luxor begrüßen zu dürfen.“

They were flexible with the pickup point as well as the drop off location. I got the tour without a guide, we had an issue with the communication first, so we had to go back to buy the tickets, but the rest of the experience was great and it did not felt rushed

We had a wonderful half-day tour with Nasser covering the Valley of the Queens, Habu Temple and the Workers’ Tombs. He was punctual, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful — going above and beyond by taking us to a local market to help us find good quality groceries at local prices. We also decided on the spot to add Hatshepsut Temple to our itinerary and Nasser accommodated this seamlessly at a very fair price. Travelling with a small child, we really appreciated his flexibility, patience and care. Would highly recommend for families visiting the West Bank.
