Das alte Pompeji am Nachmittag

We had a wonderful couple of hours with Glauco, who was clearly an expert in his field, exhibiting real passion and interest in equal measure. From meeting us off the train to leaving us back more than 2 hours later, his knowledge, his expertise and his care meant that we had a really educational, relaxed and hugely valuable visit to the ruins of Pompeii. Thank you Glauco!

Glauco is an excellent tour guide. He suggested we arrive right at 9 am as the site opened so it wouldn't be as crowded given it was peak season. He also instructed us on the correct tickets to purchase so that we were able to skip the line upon entry. Both of these suggestions were hugely helpful. At Pompeii we spent three hours with Glauco and learned so much about the history, the excavation, and how the people there had lived centuries ago. He's extremely knowledgeable and personable. A true pleasure. We could not recommend him more highly.

Glauco showed my wife and I round Herculaneum. It was an excellent guided tour. His expertise brought the ancient city alive. He answered all our questions with a deep knowledge that put things in context. He was friendly and easy to talk to. We had an amazing tour of Pompeii with Glauco! He was enthusiastic, passionate, and such a genuinely great person. His deep knowledge and experience made the whole visit fascinating - we learned so much while managing to avoid the huge crowds thanks to his clever route. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We spent two days with Glauco. On the first day we visited Naples were a catered the visit to our preferences. We started with the most amazing coffee we have ever tasted (we won’t reveal the secret, you will have to book him) and went on to a fantastic tour of the city with a focus on art which was our interest. He then took us for a fabulous lunch like we have never experienced. The following day we went to Pompeii where Glauco brought the city to life. We had a fabulous lunch at Suisse Pompeii where we were met by nothing but kindness, a cheerful ambiance and efficiency. I had an issue with medication that was solved swiftly by Glauco who found a way to keep it refrigerated and a way to organise an ice pack for the rest of the trip. Glauco showed us the best there is to see of Napoli and more. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Afternoon visit to Pompeii with a 6-year-old boy in tow with whom Glaucus has related in an affable and engaging way.
