Sublime

The tour was sublime. The farm is lush. Andrés is deeply knowledgeable, and wonderfully passionate, about every dimension of coffee, from seed to cup. Easily one of the best tours I've ever experienced.

Amazing Coffee Farm Experience

This tour of a coffee and hydroponic lettuce farm far exceeded expectations. Andres, our guide, is a true coffee connoisseur. We went in July, when a cool mist enveloped the highlands and provided a counterpoint to the sunny weather near the beach. We learned so much about the process of growing, roasting, preparing and tasting coffee that I find myself evaluating my subsequent cups of morning coffee with a newly refined palette. We were even treated to homemade jam and empanadillas by Sr. Ochoa’s (the farmer’s) wife. We also enjoyed learning about and planting some lettuce in the hydroponic system. Grab this tour!

A Different view of Santa Cruz island

An amazing and informative experience in the process of growing organic coffee and hydroponic vegetables. The coffee tasting at the end of the walk was a real treat with homemade empanadas. The tour guides did an excellent job translating all the information the farming and all that the farmer was sharing about his process. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Darwin’s Coffee Quest

David and Andres were fantastic tour guides and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the island. These two strapping young lads provide a wonderful, ecological, and community-minded approach to their coffee tours and provide an excellent & educational session. Do not miss this! Thanks again. Amazing discoveries

This tour is an absolute must-do! Don’t worry if there are no reviews yet—it’s a new experience that launched just four months ago. The two guides are incredibly passionate about coffee and deeply knowledgeable about the surrounding farms. The experience begins with an introduction to their coffee roastery and the history of coffee in the Galápagos. Next, you’ll meet a local farmer, known as the "king of lettuce," who shares his innovative techniques and daily challenges. Unlike other tours, this one lets you connect with locals and their inspiring projects. Walking through the coffee "jungle," you’ll learn every step of coffee production, from plant to cup, engaging all your senses. They’ll even teach you to use a V60 and guide you through tastings of various methods to process the beans. Be warned—the coffee is so good, you’ll want to take home bags for everyone! The highlight? Planting an endemic tree as part of their conservation project—your tree will grow with your name! Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or not, this tour is a wonderful way to support the local community, enjoy nature, and experience incredible flavors in a friendly atmosphere.

A „must-do“ when you stay here. Great insights in agriculture and coffee-growing on Galapagos

We booked this tour because we had already done all the other things with the boat and the turtles. Two coffee experts picked us up and we drove to a farm. A farmer showed us how to grow lettuce and various other things. Very interesting and very authentic. It gives a great insight into agriculture here on the Galapagos. Afterwards we looked at a coffee plantation and learned a lot about coffee. Our guides then showed us how to make real coffee with different coffee beans. At the beginning we were very skeptical because there were no online reviews, but we are thrilled about this excursion. If you really want to get to know Ecuador and the Galapagos, then you absolutely have to do this. Great activity, try it and you'll love it! 100% recommended!
