Der schwimmende Markt Damnoen Saduak in Ratchaburi ist einer der beliebtesten schwimmenden Märkte in Thailand. Täglich reisen viele thailändische und ausländische Touristen hierher, um zu shoppen, zu essen und die Atmosphäre der thailändischen Wassermärkte zu genießen, die es seit über 100 Jahren gibt. Klong Damnoen Saduak Damnoen Saduak ist der geradeste und längste Kanal in Thailand. Der Kanal wurde auf königliche Initiative hin gebaut, als König Rama IV. Von Thailand den Mae Klong Fluss mit chinesischen Flusswegen verbinden wollte, um Transport und Handel zu unterstützen. Und so wird in diesem Bereich bis heute gehandelt.

Gang our tour guide was wonderful, friendly, kind and went above and beyond to be helpful. I did not have Thai currency so she asked the driver if he could help and he actually got cash for me. It was unexpected and very much appreciated. I also felt safe and cared for because I got lost and she was so patient about the delay it caused.

Definitely worth seeing if you are in Bangkok. Tanya our Guide was great, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Visit to the train market was impressive- also very friendly stall holders who were not pushy with some bargains to be had. Loved seeing how quickly stall holders moved everything for the train passing through. Floating market was nice to see, but incredibly overpriced if you want to buy anything. Great coconut ice cream though! I would have preferred more time at the train market, and less at the floating market.

Unfortunately, it was raining, but it was nice to be cool. It was fun to be able to go to a place where I couldn't go alone. The rowboat was also tasteful and had an interesting experience.
