Schlammbad in Dalyan und Schildkrötenstrand ab Sarigerme

What a great day out. Karim was a fantastic guide. He was very humourous and kept the group engaged. On the journey to the mud baths, he even had the driver stop the coach to rescue a turtle from the road. Mud baths experience was fun and it was great to see the turtles and spend time at the beach. The boat trip was also good. Lunch was basic but it was nice to have a view of the tombs while eating. Karim was very knowledgeable throughout the experience and was able to share a lot of information on the local area and Turkiye itself. Thank you.

Honestly: one of the worst excursions I have ever done. The transfer went well. But as soon as the guide started his explanations, I realized that we wouldn't understand much. Being a French speaker, I understand English if it is well articulated. But the local guide had a terrible English accent. Then comes the boat part. A rather uncomfortable boat that takes us to the mud baths. There, it is a nightmare. The facilities are from another era: dilapidated and unsuitable. The patched-up wooden cabins are falling apart and do not close properly. Access to the mud pit is extremely dangerous: my wife slipped and injured her knee. No safety railing. The mud: there is almost none. It is rather muddy water that is uninviting. Next, you have to walk 100 meters on painful pebbles to reach the shower. It is a communal shower, also poorly constructed. Then comes the mini thermal pool, equally dangerous and far too small for the crowd present. Next, we returned by boat and took a stroll on the Dalyan River. Along the way, we took a photo of the Lycian tombs carved into the rock of the ancient city of Kaunos. This is the most beautiful part of the excursion. The banks of the river up to the estuary are relaxing and deeply rooted in nature. Unfortunately, the weather deteriorated and we experienced heavy rain. The boat's roof tarp was leaking everywhere. The visit to the final beach was shortened, but we were not partially refunded. A lost day for me.

We had a lovely day out on the Dalyan mud bath and Turtle beach trip. Basket travel were fab, very responsive on social media. They were great when I needed to change our booking. Very reasonable prices. Little extras like giving extra bags for towels etc, was appreciated Our guide Kerim was brilliant, very funny guy and kept everyone engaged. Gave lots of information about local area and sites we saw on the trip, welcomed any questions too. Everything was explained clearly from booking to on-the-day, everything we needed to bring, timetable for the day etc. Coach was air conditioned and comfortable. We really enjoyed the mud baths, seeing the ancient rock tombs and the sea turtles. The scenery was beautiful. Lunch was lovely also. Fantastic day thank you, will definitely use Basket travel when we return to Sarigerme (hopefully soon!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great day out , worth a visit went October little but cold in the morning but soon warmed up in the sulphur pool , little bit tricky get in and out as ledge could do with more steps, so if a bit unsteady may struggle , boat trip was brilliant and seeing the turtles was amazing if even only a few but we did see them , booked with Basket and could not fault them in any way , on time collection , superb hospitality, giggles throughout the trip and knowledge excellent star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic day out, picked up 9am from our hotel, the tour guide Kerim was informative and funny. First stop mud baths and thermal pool followed by the boat tour to lunch then turtle beach. The boat tour was a beautiful experience, even managed to spot a kingfisher. Lunch was lovely in the gorgeous harbour of Dalyan. Turtle beach is a lovely beach with lovely proper sand and the sea was lovely and warm to swim in, it’s shallow to far out so had a great time in the water with the kids. Got to see the turtles before getting back on the boat. All in all a great day out for the whole family and I would recommend this trip

TLDR: Nice experience for family travelling with 2 kids. Comfortable, slow paced, lots of toilets, mediocre food, huge viator cost markup. We were promptly picked up just outside the resort on the road at 9am in a huge 50seater AC bus. 30mins of travel from Sarigerme and you reach the boats. The guide was informative. Then it's a pit stop at mud bath after 15mins boat ride. The mud bath & thermal spa was well maintained, clean and not crowded at all for mid September. After about an hour there, we were on a boat for another 20mins and stopped at a great place for lunch overlooking the Dalyan Tombs. Food was well below average, but was included the price. Post lunch another 20mins of boat ride into the turtle conservative area. Loads of boats sailing into turtle beach. There are some huge turtle which come close to the shore when crabs are thrown into the water. You get about 2hrs at the turtle beach, you which is a nice shallow beach, the children enjoyed. While returning most of the bus started to pay in cash for the tour. The tour was from 'Basket Travels' and were paying £34 per adult. Essentially trivago were charging £50. For a family of 4, with one under 6 kid who was free I ended up paying £40 extra. This wasn't. A great feeling. The tour itself was great and we were back at the hotel at 5:30 in the evening.

We have just come back from this tour and what a day! Mud baths were amazing and so was the thermal pool, definitely take your shoes down with you as its a stone path to the showers. Yes it smells like sulfer however you do get use the the smell after a minute or so. I went with my daughter (who i found out doesnt like mud on her) and she didnt mind the smell at all for a younger one. We had an amazing guide DoDo he was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable told us lots about turkiey and correct pronouciations, we had an amazing lunch at a restaurant on the river and we even got to see turtles we had a good amount of time on the beach to although windy today but thats no ones falt the only thing I would say is there was alot of hornets at the mud baths (can't be helped but im terrified of anything that flies) however they were not interested in me or anyone else the were just doing whatever hornets do. Big should out to mr speedy and the boat man to! So sorry I didn't get there names but the whole day start to finish was amazing! Would highly recommend.

Love this day out with basket always try to do it first day of my holiday to make my skin Feel soft to help get a good tan, the boat trip is lovely sitting back and watching the views and seeing the tooms along the way. Just be prepared for the smell of sulphur it smells like rotten eggs 😂😂 lunch is lovely too this trip is also a must to do
