Da Lat-Trekking zum Berg Langbiang mit Kaffeeaussicht

It is amazing ride which we must use their transport. The drivers are skilful in mooring up the mountain. We did not aware of hiking anyway we are not trained for it. We past the indigenous people hut and no notice/sign indicating appearance. We enjoyed the panoramic view. We solely rely on our guide as we wander around. If possible we hope to return if there is a train direct to Da Lat than the 5-hr car ride.

We started at 8.30 from our hotel and drove to the Mt. Langbiang entrance. Tony provided a drink, fruits, and Banh Mi for lunch. We hiked about 11-12 kilometers. There was a midpoint stop with a cafe, restaurant, and toilets. Do note that the last 400 metres or so up to the peak of Langbiang is much steeper. The steps could be about knee height. We finished the hike at around 4pm and took the car down from the midpoint. The car cost 720k VND.

Tony couldn't make it so he sent other tour guide, he told me about it the night before at 11.30pm but of course I didn't mind because I thought he will send another professional tour guide who will deliver what is promised in the description. Unfortunately his friend who he sent was hangovered from partying the night before, he came 20 minutes late with his motorbike and didn't have a helmet for me. We walked the same route as everyone else that can be found in google maps. Guide hadn't been to Langbiang in 7months if I understood correctly but I'm not sure because he didn't really speak any English, so there were zero interesting stories told, guide was mostly just complaining that he was hot or cold and had too many beers last night. He was a very sweet boy but not very professional. There were no fruits, no coffee and no view and it was all over under 4hours. Tony was very sorry when I told him about my experience and asked me to forgive him and not to write this review, but it was a lot of my time and money wasted and I want other people to be aware that this might happen to them as well.

Wonderful trekking tour to Langbiang peak with Tony. Also diverse experience with the weather within one day: sunny, drizzling, afterward hail, which is pretty unique. The way up is more challenging and fun which is a totally different path very few knows even locals.

Tony was brilliant guide. He gave us the option of the easy walk and hard walk. Myself and another solo traveller decided to do the hard walk which is definitely a challenge but good fun trekking through the depths of the jungle! Tony prepared a delicious picnic lunch with sandwiches and fruit, and even helped teach us some Vietnamese. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good hike.

Tony was very nice and he explained a lot about Vietnamese culture. We had a very nice time together. The way up was quite challenging, but we got very nice food afterwards and a good view! :)
