It was a tie between being attacked by a dog and riding in incredibly busy traffic. The tour was called a City Bike Tour but we almost immediately began a super steep climb.
Great trip Interesting guide Took us to a part of town we would have not gone to Help us to acclimatise to altitude
We ended up doing a walking tour of Cuzco, which was a great experience and a good introduction to the city. We had a lovely guide, who was very informative, and adapted the tour to our interests
We had a great time with our Guide "Al". I took this tour with my 17 year old. I recommend being an active and experience bike rider if you take this trip due to traffic, climbs and cobble stone, etc, etc. There are climbs and traffic with this ride which Al helped us safely navigate. Being from the midwest the elevation of Cusco challenged me during our stay but AL made stops after climbs to let me recalibrate and catch my breath. The views are phenomenal on this ride, and AL is knowledgeable about the history of the city. My personal highlight was stopping at a local cafe for Empanadas (yum). My final recommendation would be to go early and avoid traffice
Hello Sean, thank you very much for your comments, it is great to know about your great time with us. We will look forward to serving you in the future.

Good way to see Cusco and with insider knowledge from a local. You do need to be somewhat skilled on a bike as you will be spending some time riding in the streets with crazy drivers and down steep rocky paths from Incan times. We loved it and did it the day we arrived in Cusco. It was a bit challenging since we had not quite acclimated to the high elevation yet but just had to rest a little more often up the hills. Our guide was great and we had a really good time.

Riding a bike through Cusco with our guide Willow was one of the highlights of our trip. First, the company was wonderful about contacting us through our hotel and email with any specifics of our adventure. They provided good hearty mountain bikes, helmets, gloves and bottled water. Our guide Willow met us in the lobby of our hotel and walked us over to their office. From there we went on an enriching tour of Cusco. There are a lot of cobbled streets, so my boyfriend and I were grateful for the gloves. In addition to biking through Cusco proper we biked to a lovely church on a hill for a great panorama of the main square and the city. This fun adventure was wonderful for the two of us. I would not recommend this unless you are a good biker in both traffic and uneven surfaces. I would not advise small children to go on this tour. You have to be a confidant, enthusiastic, and good bike rider always on the defensive to tackle these streets. In our entire three days in Cusco I NEVER saw another bike rider. The drivers there are treacherous and they don't appear to like or want to tolerate bikers.
Cheers to Willow for making this adventure awesome!

My husband and I took this trip to Peru with our 22 year old twin sons. They took this bike tour. They told us that their guide William was excellent. It was a private bike tour. The biking was very challenging. The guys went all the way to the statue of Jesus above Cusco. Our sons said that they learned so much about Cusco and the ruins. They highly recommend this tour.

The bike tour was a great way to see the city! We gained a quick understanding of how to get around. Remember that Cusco is at 11,000 feet so allow time to adjust. We did the tour the day we landed and did ok, but it was a test for our lungs! Mario was a great guide! Definitely recommend!!
