Reiseverlauf

We took a 4-hour food tour with Carla through Cusco yesterday. Carla was very passionate, very likable, and gave us a lot of information about the food and the region. The 4 hours flew by and we had a great time. The meals/drinks were very varied and extremely delicious. The walk through the San Pedro market and the demonstration of the ceviche preparation were also great. Overall 100% recommendation.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a great time exploring Cusco with Carla. It’s wonderful to know that her passion and knowledge, the variety of flavors, the visit to San Pedro Market, and the ceviche demonstration made the experience so memorable. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Carla. Thank you for the 100% recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again in Peru!
Did this tour on a day of torrential rain, which could easily have ruined it. Clara kept the group’s spirits up and never let the weather dictate the mood. She gave us a solid overview of Cusco’s food culture — the stops were well chosen and well sequenced, and included places we’d never have found on our own. Good value and worth doing.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re so glad Carla was able to keep everyone’s spirits high despite the rain and make the day enjoyable. It’s wonderful to hear that you appreciated the selection of stops and the introduction to Cusco’s rich food culture. Thank you for joining us and for not letting the weather stop the adventure!

Excellent variety of foods, all of high quality. Generous portions, but not too much. My pescatarian wife was very happy with her substitutions. Good information both on food and the area and culture more generally. Carla was first-rate.

Today I joined the Gastronomic Tour in Cusco with our guide, Carla, and it was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, I learned so much about Peruvian cuisine, and the group dynamic made the experience even more enjoyable. At first, it seems like you'll be eating a lot, but the portions are perfectly sized. Between each stop, you take a walk, which gives you time to digest and makes room for the next tasting. They also serve digestive teas and drinks along the way, so you never feel overly full. Carla is a fantastic guide who shares plenty of interesting facts about Peruvian cuisine and culture. She creates a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and the tour never feels rushed. If you're visiting Cusco, I highly recommend this tour. It's a wonderful way to discover the city's food scene while learning about the local culture. :-)
