Dies wird ein wunderbarer Tag für Sie sein. Unser Fahrer wird Sie am frühen Morgen von Ihrem Stadthotel abholen. Nach einer kurzen Einführung fahren Sie 1,5 Stunden nach Crescent Island, wo Sie am Great Rift Valley Aussichtspunkt zum Fotografieren anhalten. Ein Schnellboot wartet auf Sie, um die Insel zu erreichen. Es gibt Tausende von Vögeln, die Sie beobachten können, Tiere, die an den Ufern des Sees weiden, und schnarchende Köpfe riesiger Nilpferde. Der Pilot ist sachkundig und fungiert als Führer im See. Nach 30 Minuten Fahrt erreichen Sie die Insel und werden von den freundlichen Guides begrüßt. Sie führen Sie durch die Insel und zeigen Ihnen Tiere und Vegetation. Von der Spitze des Hügels aus haben Sie einen 360-Grad-Blick über den See von Longonot über Hell's Gate, Mau Escarpement nach Eburu und auf die Aberdares. Es gibt mehr Tiere pro Morgen als in jedem anderen kenianischen Park. Daher waren viele Filmunternehmen auf der Insel, um die Herden von Gnus, Waterbuck, Zebra und Gazelle zu filmen. Wir sind nicht eingezäunt, um die Tierwelt auf dem Festland hereinzulassen, da sie ihren Lebensraum durch die Entwicklung und die ständig wachsende Bevölkerung verliert. Nachts grasen Hippos überall über uns, schlafen dann unter der Akazie oder ruhen sich tagsüber im Wasser aus. Die auf der Insel geborenen Giraffen kehren zurück, um zu gebären; Manchmal sieht man drei Generationen gleichzeitig. Hyena kommt nachts zur Jagd, ist aber nicht auf der Insel ansässig. Die vielen Pythons, die hier leben, sind gelegentlich mit einem Kill zu sehen. Büffelgruppen kommen und gehen, aber sie werden immer überwacht. Sie werden Ihr Lunchpaket im Park genießen. Nach 4 Stunden auf der Insel holt Sie das Boot ab, um Sie ans Festland zu bringen. Sie werden mit vielen Erinnerungen nach Nairobi aufbrechen.

Great experience. Very peacefull place. Taxi on time. Good prices. Long ride to naivasha but good to see landscape. Perfect day trip
I booked their Crescent Island tour and, while their website said it was US$150pp, it was actually US$200 since I was a solo traveler, but it was worth the extra cost. Joseph picked me up from my hotel right on time and told me a lot about Kenya as we traveled to Lake Naivasha, with a brief stop to take in the views of the Great Rift Valley. As I'd told him that I was interested in birdwatching, Joseph made sure to find me a boatman who knew about birds for my tour of Lake Naivasha. (Once I reached Crescent Island, I was handed over to one of the island guides, Steven, who showed me tons of birds, mammals and even a reptile.) Once I rejoined Joseph on the mainland, he recommended Kifaru for lunch. It's a tourist cafe a little ways from the lake, so the prices are better than the lakefront options. He steered me away from the a la carte menu to the buffet, which all of the guides (and the well-informed guests) order. For less than US$10, I had a plate with yummy stewed beef, salad, mixed veggies, sauteed spinach and ugali (a steamed cornmeal bread). Then he returned me to my Nairobi hotel right on schedule, after a very full and interesting day.

I was alone with Julius and I really enjoyed the time I spent there with him. He was very qualified for his job and knew a lot of different things. We have been able during this day to drink Kenyan coffee, buy some Kenyan gifts, do a boat ride on Naivasha Lake and of course to see all the animals of the crescent island. We could almost touch them, it was a one time experience. It was marvelous. I think I will remember this day my whole life. Thank you to Julius who has been such a good guide during this day. Booked this tour as side activity (after big national parks) and was positively surprised. Island is very beautiful. You can see various mammals and birds from close distance, zebras and giraffes were the cutest. Whole scenery is very beautiful. Includes short boat ride as well. Driver/guide Julius was great,.too. Provided a lot of interesting information, took photos of me, gave me enough time on the island and generally was nice.
