Bourton-on-the-Water wird regelmäßig zu einem der schönsten Dörfer Englands gewählt und spricht Besucher und Einwohner gleichermaßen an. Es ist eines der meistfotografierten Gebiete in der Region und wurde 2007 als Drehort für den Film „Stardust“ ausgewählt. In der Nähe finden Sie die Bibury Forellenfarm und eine Sächsische Kirche. Der River Coln fließt zwischen der Hauptstraße des Dorfes und einer Wasserwiese: Zusammen mit der Arlington Row als Kulisse bildet er eine der malerischsten Szenen, die Sie in den Cotswolds finden.
Die malerischen Arlington Row Cottages in Bibury wurden 1380 als klösterlicher Wollspeicher erbaut. Diese wurde dann im 17. Jahrhundert in eine Reihe von Weberhäuschen umgewandelt. Das in der Arlington Row produzierte Tuch wurde zur Arlington Mill auf der anderen Seite der Rack Isle geschickt. Das Tuch wurde dann auf Holzrahmen auf Rack Isle aufgehängt, nachdem es in Arlington Mill entfettet worden war.
Burford – „Tor zu den Cotswolds“ Burford gilt als das Tor zu den Cotswolds. Die High Street verläuft von den hohen Wolds, wo Sie eine wunderschöne Aussicht über die offene Landschaft haben, hinunter zum von Weiden gesäumten Fluss Windrush im hübschen Windrush-Tal. Besuchen Sie Burfords zahlreiche kleine Geschäfte, die Cotswolds-Käse, hochwertiges Fleisch, frisch gebackene Kuchen, Antiquitäten und Bücher anbieten.

Wonderful father , daughter trip to the Cotswolds 9/26 with Omar as our guide and Gary as driver. Omar was fun, engaging and informative pointing out jewels in each village including places to eat. Gary also provided tidbits and confirmed the best restaurants. All three villages had something different to offer. I highly recommend and would gladly go again!
This place is not so good you have to walk for so long like 20 to 25 min were the only place I liked was the river it was so relaxing but I tried the The ice cream it had these weird bits in it. It did not taste like lemon. I had a lemon sorbet those bits it tasted so weird and the price we paid was not worth it
wonderful day trip- beautiful countryside. Enjoyed the drive and stops in 3 villages. the last stop with the famous Arlington row of cottages was a bit underwhelming - not as pretty as I expected. But all the other villages were as I expected these to be- very charming.
We had a wonderful day visiting three small towns. Omar was knowledgeable and helpful and kept us right on track. The only issue we felt was with the crowds of tourists in the towns, but overall the experience was delightful
Our tour guide, Leslie, was lovely. She shared great information, and set us up for a perfect day. Would recommend to anyone wanting a taste of the Cotswolds with convenience.

The trip to the Cotswold was nice. It was nice to be out in the Country rather than in the city. The cottages were all different and the towns each had their own personalities. Traffic in Burford was a bit of an issue, but that can’t be helped by the tour company. Sheila did a great job of explaining what we were doing, where we were going and what to look at and do at each stop. I loved the stone buildings and stone shingles on the homes, the stone walls in the fields, the birds in the rivers, and the treats. We stopped at Hugo Lovage in Burford for the lemon merengue pie was AWESOME! (thanks Cameron from yesterday’s EE tour). Thomas drove us quite well, keeping us safe and sound while driving, even on some B roads, which were quite narrow.
