Auf dieser Tour erkunden Sie die Cotswolds
Passagiere, die an der Tour in Stratford-upon-Avon teilnehmen, werden um 08.50 Uhr am Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal abgeholt. Anschließend fahren wir in die Cotswold-Stadt Moreton-in-Marsh, wo wir um 9.30 Uhr unsere letzten Gäste vom Bahnhof Moreton-in-Marsh abholen. Von Moreton-in-Marsh sind es 15 Minuten Fahrt zu unserem ersten offiziellen Halt. Wir stellen Ihnen unterwegs eine Einführung in die Tour zur Verfügung.
Es ist nur eine kurze Fahrt bis zu unserem ersten Halt, dem Aussichtspunkt am Dover's Hill, und schon beginnt Ihr Fahrer/Reiseleiter mit seinem unterhaltsamen Kommentar, der Ihnen die Geschichte der Cotswolds erzählt. Am Aussichtspunkt genießen Sie eine atemberaubende Aussicht und erfahren etwas über einige der eigentümlicheren Traditionen der Cotswolds! *Bei schlechtem Wetter können wir den Halt am Dover's Hill auslassen. Bei schönem Wetter ist es wunderschön, aber bei Nässe kann es sehr matschig werden!
Chipping Campden ist eine charmante und typisch Cotswolds Marktstadt, voller Geschichte und Erbe, aber auch Heimat großartiger unabhängiger Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und hervorragenden Kaffees und Kuchens! Mit den von uns bereitgestellten Karten haben Sie ungefähr eine Stunde Zeit, um Chipping Campden selbst zu erkunden und zu entdecken.
Über die schmalen Backlanes besuchen wir für ca. 20 Minuten unser "geheimes" Cotswolds Dorf. Dies ist eine abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade gelegene Lage, von der viele unserer Kunden glauben, dass sie das schönste Dorf auf der Tour ist!
Stow-on-the-Wold, die höchste Stadt in den Cotswolds, ist eine lebhafte, historische Marktstadt mit vielen guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und einer Vielzahl ausgezeichneter Orte zum Mittagessen (Mittagessen nicht inbegriffen). Wir halten hier ungefähr 1 Stunde und 15 Minuten an und mit den von uns bereitgestellten Karten können Sie die Highlights von Stow nach Belieben erkunden.
Über die engen Gassen erreichen Sie Stow-on-the-Wold nach Bibury in etwa 30 bis 40 Minuten. Bibury ist ein kleines, aber perfekt geformtes Dorf in Cotswolds, das einst von William Morris als "das schönste in England" beschrieben wurde. Machen Sie mit uns eine Tour, um zu sehen, ob Sie damit einverstanden sind!
Nach Bibury ist es eine atemberaubende 30-minütige Fahrt nach Bourton-on-the-Water, unserer letzten Station, bevor wir unsere Kunden dorthin zurückbringen, wo sie angefangen haben. Bourton-on-the-Water wird als "Venedig der Cotswolds" bezeichnet und ist ein Postkarten-Dorf mit Cotswolds-Steinbrücken, die den Fluss Windrush überqueren und mitten durch das Dorfzentrum verlaufen. Es ist sehr beliebt bei Besuchern, besonders an einem warmen Tag, an dem das Paddeln im Fluss die Zeit der Wahl ist, aber eine Tour durch die Cotswolds wäre ohne einen Zwischenstopp hier nicht komplett.
Für Passagiere, die sich uns in Moreton-in-Marsh angeschlossen haben, kehren wir hierher zurück, um Sie gegen 17 Uhr abzusetzen. Wenn Sie von Moreton-in-Marsh mit dem Zug reisen, empfehlen wir Ihnen immer, ein flexibles Ticket zu kaufen, mit dem Sie jeden Rückzug nehmen können, und/oder planen, nach 17.00 Uhr abzufahren. Wir fahren dann zurück nach Stratford-upon-Avon, um unsere letzten Gäste gegen 17.30 Uhr abzusetzen. Wenn Sie die Tour an einem Abholpunkt beginnen und an einem anderen abgesetzt werden möchten, kein Problem! Teilen Sie uns einfach mit, wenn Sie buchen möchten. - Wenn Sie mit dem Zug in Moreton-in-Marsh ankommen, ist der Zug, der um etwa 09:17–09:20 Uhr ankommt, ideal. Es ist eine kleine Station, und es ist nur 1–2 Minuten zu Fuß zum Parkplatz, wo Ihr Guide Sie treffen wird.
- Wenn Sie mit dem Zug in Stratford-upon-Avon ankommen, beachten Sie, dass unser Abholpunkt 5–10 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt ist. Bitte beachten Sie, dass sonntags keine Züge vor Abfahrt der Tour ankommen.
- Uber und ähnliche Dienstleistungen sind in den Cotswolds nicht weit verbreitet, und lokale Taxis können in letzter Minute schwierig zu buchen sein. Wir empfehlen dringend, Taxis im Voraus zu buchen oder öffentliche Verkehrsmittel zu nutzen, wenn möglich.

Amazing day trip, fantastic guide (Steve), beautiful views. Steve was very enthusiastic and animated, knew a lot about the area. Wish we could have spent more time in some locations but overall we had just enough to sightsee, get a snack or a meal and do some quick shopping. Very fun day!
We had an excellent day on the Go Cotswolds tour with Elaine as our guide. Elaine was friendly, knowledgeable and made the day really enjoyable. She showed us some beautiful villages and little hidden gems that we would never have found on our own. I especially enjoyed the little bits of history and local stories she shared along the way; they added so much to the experience. What really impressed us was what she did for our family. My son missed his train from London because of transport disruptions and reached Moreton-in-Marsh almost an hour after the tour had left. Elaine didn't have to help, but she dropped the rest of us at one of the villages, drove back to the station (about 20 minutes away) to pick him up, and then brought him back to join the tour. It was such a thoughtful thing to do and completely beyond what we expected. Thank you, Elaine, for making sure our family could enjoy the day together. We truly appreciated your kindness and would happily recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Cotswolds.
A lovely day in the Cotswolds. We got to see quite a few lovely villages. It was a gorgeous day, our tour guide was quite friendly and knowledgeable and tried to be accommodating as he could. Our only complaint is that the rear of the bus was quite warm during the course of the day and the AC did not work well. Also, we could not hear much of what was said by the guide during these times as the AC was on full blast and the microphone was nit loud enough to hear over it. We tried not to let this spoil our time, but could be improved upon in the future.
Elaine was an incredible tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the Cotswolds, and gave us a new appreciation for the area. The tour was very well structured and we felt like we got to see a nice mix of popular towns and hidden gems. It was a lovely way to spend the day since we didn’t have a car to explore the area on our own and the AC in the van kept us cool during the heatwave.
Great short brief of cotswold along 8 hrs.
The towns we visited were wonderful. Picturesque, charming and interesting. Nice selection of shops, bars and restaurants in each. Our guide, Peter, was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and a great communicator. There were 2 negatives: we never saw the town “Stow-On-The-Wold”. This was our lunch stop and there was no time to do anything else. Secondly, although the weather was cool and pleasant on our trip, the bus was very hot. Our seats were in the back - the front of the bus was cool. We were told the AC was on as high and cold as possible and it was just the way the Mercedes buses were. Quite unacceptable.

Mark was a great tour guide with a wealth of information. The cotswolds are beyond gorgeous, like out of a fairytale. This is by far the easiest way to see multiple places on a day trip!

We had the best time on this tour. Our guide, Steve, made every effort to interact with us, even involving our kids in the fun, and was truly interested in making sure our day was special. The itinerary was full of things to do but we never felt rushed or like we missed out on anything. One of the best “in a day” tours I think we’ve ever done.
