Reiseverlauf

Colin was an excellent guide very knowledgeable of the area gave us interesting pertinent information and allow us to do many things on our own at our own pace in each stop. He also showed us many off-road areas. We probably would have never seen highly recommend this tour.
Excellent information and easy paced with quirky facts! Loved the polite courteous and informative tour and guide!!!!! Thank you soo much!

I was actually slated to stay in Morten-In-Marsh, but that tour was sold out so I extended my time in Oxford so I could take this trip - what a GREAT decision. The pickup location was so easy. The tour group is small which is what I loved most - the vehicle let's you transit places the big buses simply can't. Our guide was Elaine - I hope all of you are fortunate with to get paired with her - she's brilliant - so well spoken and so full of knowledge. She's an excellent driver and was so friendly and fun. The Cotswolds are exquisite to see - I highly recommend you do it with Go Cotswolds !!!!!!!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful day exploring the Cotswolds with us. It sounds like extending your stay in Oxford turned out to be a very good decision! We’re especially pleased that you enjoyed the small-group experience. Our smaller minibuses allow us to get into some of the beautiful Cotswolds villages that larger coaches simply can’t reach, while keeping the tour feeling relaxed and personal. And what a lovely compliment for Elaine! We’ll certainly pass on your kind words — we know she’ll be thrilled to hear that you found her so knowledgeable, friendly and fun. “Brilliant” and “excellent driver” are exactly the sort of things we love hearing about our guides! Thank you also for recommending Go Cotswolds so enthusiastically. If you’re ever back in the area, we’d love to have you join us again.
This was the most pleasant and informative tour my wife and I have been on. The Cotswolds exceeded our expectations and Steve the driver and guide was funny informative and genuine. My wife called him a “National Treasure.!” If we take another tour through Viator we’d try to find one Steve was guiding for GoCotswolds.

We absolutely love hearing that Steve was funny, informative and genuine — and please tell your wife that calling him a “National Treasure” has definitely made his day! We’ll be sure to pass your lovely comments on to him. It’s fantastic to hear that the Cotswolds exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed the tour so much. Very nice day - good introduction to the Cotswold area. Dave our driver was great and kept us on a good time schedule. I would leave off Bilbury - it was so crowded there was absolutely no charm factor. Use that opportunity to have a longer stay at another place like like Burford
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We’re delighted to hear you had a lovely day exploring the Cotswolds and that Dave helped make the experience such a positive one. We’ll be sure to pass on your kind words — keeping everyone on schedule while still giving you time to enjoy each stop is no easy feat! We also really appreciate your honest feedback about Bibury. It’s certainly one of the most famous Cotswold villages, but its popularity can mean it gets very busy, particularly at peak times. And we completely understand that when you’re looking for that quintessential Cotswolds charm, crowds can sometimes get in the way! That's why we started our Secret Cotswolds tour! You should take a look. Thank you again for choosing Go Cotswolds and for sharing your thoughts. We hope we’ll have the pleasure of showing you even more of the Cotswolds on a future visit!
The driver/tour guide has been so nice, intelligent and chatty that it won’t make you feel sleepy on the road.
Thank you for your lovely review! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your Cotswolds Day tour from Oxford. Our guides love sharing stories, local history, and a few laughs along the way, so it's great to know they helped keep the journey as enjoyable as the destinations! We hope to welcome you back on another Go Cotswolds tour in the future.
This was a truly special tour that perfectly captured the quintessential villages and beautiful countryside of England. Thanks to the small group and bus size, we were able to visit quieter, hidden-gem villages untouched by mass tourism, alongside the more well-known spots. At each destination, we were given the perfect amount of free time to explore and enjoy at our own pace. Peter was an incredibly kind and knowledgeable guide who brought the history and culture of England to life. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic look at the English countryside! (Note to the tour company: Peter kindly took a group souvenir photo of us, but I haven't received it via email yet. I would be so grateful if you could check on this, as I would love to have a copy to remember this wonderful trip!)

We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Peter. His knowledge, warmth, and passion for sharing the history and culture of the Cotswolds make every tour special, and we're so pleased he helped make your day such a memorable one. Thank you as well for mentioning the group photo. We are still working our way through this week's photos, so please keep an eye on your inbox at the end of the week—we expect your souvenir photo to be with you then! We hope to welcome you back on another Go Cotswolds tour in the future.
Book it! Absolutely amazing! The guide was talking lound and clear, he was easy to follow and so wonderful that we got to see some of the less touristy villages as well! The only thing was that in Burton-on-the-water - 1hour,15min was too little. Should have had 2 hours here. So many cute shops and things we wanted to see, but had every little time to discover when we also needed to eat. But absolutely amazing trip!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you had such an amazing time on your Cotswolds in a Day tour. It's wonderful to know your guide's clear commentary and enthusiasm helped bring the Cotswolds to life, and that you enjoyed discovering some of the region's quieter, less touristy villages alongside the famous highlights. Thank you as well for your feedback about Bourton-on-the-Water. We completely understand—it's such a beautiful village with plenty of shops, cafés, and attractions, and many guests would happily spend even longer there! Balancing time across all the villages on a one-day guided Cotswolds tour is always a challenge, but we really appreciate your comments and will take them on board. Thank you again for recommending Go Cotswolds, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the Cotswolds very soon!
The tour was wonderful. The visited towns were charming. Our guide, Pete, was very friendly, and his pronunciation of English was very clear and easy to understand. The stories he told were very interesting and entertaining. 100% recommendable. The only detail is that we would have liked to spend more time at each stop; a suggestion is to extend the duration of the excursion.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed exploring the beautiful Cotswolds villages and that Peter helped make your day both informative and entertaining. Peter has a real talent for bringing the history, stories, and character of the Cotswolds to life, and we're pleased that you found his commentary clear, engaging, and easy to follow. It's fantastic to know that you found the villages charming and that the tour gave you a memorable introduction to this beautiful part of England. We also greatly appreciate your recommendation. Thank you as well for your suggestion regarding extending the tour. We completely understand the desire to spend more time in each village—it's one of the most common compliments we receive about the Cotswolds! Unfortunately, extending the day isn't practical due to the strict driving hours and working time regulations that our driver/ guides must follow. Their days are already long, and these limits are important for both safety and staff wellbeing. Designing a Cotswolds day tour always involves balancing the number of villages visited with the time available at each stop. While we'd all love a few extra hours in these beautiful locations, we're committed to operating within safe and responsible working hours for our team. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for another Cotswolds adventure in the future - for more time in those fabulous villages!
Lots of nice villages and towns but not enough time between stops. Some stops were not really necessary and staying longer to the most busy places would have been nicer. The driver was very kind and helpful with lots of information to share between locations
Thank you for your feedback, Eva. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed visiting the Cotswolds' beautiful towns and villages on our Cotswolds Day tour from Oxford, and that you found your driver kind, helpful, and informative throughout the day. We'll be sure to pass your compliments on to them. We also appreciate your comments regarding the time spent at each stop. One of the challenges of a day tour is balancing time in the most popular locations with the opportunity to show guests some of the smaller villages and hidden gems that make the Cotswolds so special. We know that different guests often have different favourites and wish they could spend longer in different places. Your feedback is very valuable, and we'll certainly take it into consideration as we continue to review and refine our itineraries. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back to the Cotswolds in the future.
