Lernen Sie auf einem ausgedehnten Stadtspaziergang die berühmten Prachtbauten und venezianischen Herrenhäuser, die das Bild von Korfu-Stadt zieren, näher kennen. Schlendern Sie während Ihrer Führung durch die verwinkelten kopfsteingepflasterten Gassen der Altstadt und über kleine verwunschene Plätze und entdecken Sie Korfu-Stadt mit den Augen eines Einheimischen. Bewundern Sie alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der wunderschönen und historischen Stadt von außen auf Ihrem ausgedehnten Stadtspaziergang. Bestaunen Sie die prachtvolle Esplanade, einer der schönsten und größten Plätze Griechenlands und die schöne Liston Arkaden-Galerie, unter der sich zahlreiche Cafés und Bars befinden. Gegenüber der Esplanade sehen Sie zudem die alte Festung, die im 14. Jahrhundert von Venezianern erbaut wurde. In der Nähe der Esplanade befindet sich auch der klassizistische Palast des Heiligen Michael und des Heiligen Georg. Bestaunen Sie das prachtvollste und imposanteste Bauwerk Korfus, welches in den Jahren 1819 bis 1823 erbaut wurde. Während Ihrer Führung kommen Sie auch am Rathausplatz vorbei, wo Sie eines der schönsten Gebäude der Stadt, das Dimarcheion, sehen werden. Das 1903 ausgebaute Rathaus war ursprünglich eine Versammlungshalle des venezianischen Adels. Betrachten Sie zudem die neben dem Rathaus befindliche und im 17. Jahrhundert erbaute Bischofskirche San Giacomo. Die Besichtigung des ältesten Viertels der Insel, Campiello, darf selbstverständlich auf Ihrer Tour nicht fehlen. Diese traumhaft schöne Nachbarschaft weist einige der schönsten Architekturen der gesamten Insel auf. Zudem werden Sie auch die Kirche des Schutzheiligen von Kerkyra auf Ihrem Stadtspaziergang betrachten können, die die Relikte des Heiligen Spyridon beherbergt. Auf dem trubeligen Marktplatz von Korfu-Stadt finden Sie zahlreiche interessante Verkaufsstände und Geschäfte, die viele inseltypische Produkte wie Kumquat und korfiotisches Olivenöl anbieten. Darüber hinaus stoßen Sie auch auf Konditoreien mit leckeren Köstlichkeiten sowie Tavernen und Weinkellern mit regionalen Weinen.

Our first visit to Corfu and we wanted to experience life in the town. We were delighted that only 2 of us booked on this tour, so everything was planned according to our needs and wishes. Our guide Efi took us on a fascinating walk around Corfu old town, enriching us with the historical and cultural background. Informative and poignant. Definitely the tour to take if you like to know the bones of a place. Really well paced, kept us cool, showed us places we would never have found and without the crowd. Walking through the Jewish Quarter and seeing The Blue Graveyard made us stop, think and realise we were totally unaware of Corfu’s past. Would definitely recommend.

We like taking a walking tour on day 1 of somewhere new and in Efe we had a wonderful, knowledgeable host who gave us a brilliant tour. Fortuitously, it was just my wife and I booked in, so the small tour became a private tour! Efe not only gave us the tour but also provided local knowledge on tavernas and other places to eat (Efe, we went to every single one during our visit, thank you!)

Efi was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and informative. We always like to do a walking tour to help orientate ourselves and understand the history of where we’re staying. The tour included explanations of local cuisine and good places to eat in town, which has proven very useful information since !! A great couple of hours and lovely to be in a small group vs a large one! Way more opportunity to explore the narrow streets.

The tour of Corfu with Efi was fantastic! It was nice that there was a tour in German, so that everything could be understood. Especially the features of the old town were very interesting. We wouldn't have gone there alone, and if we had, much would have been unclear to us. Efi tells stories wonderfully; she didn't just rattle off everything. We were pleased that the tour took place since we were the only two. A big compliment!

Our guide, Effie, was lovely company for the walk. There is a huge amount of history in Old Corfu Town and she was extremely knowledgeable. She also answered any questions we had with confidence too! She took us past all the well known sites but also down some of the quieter streets away from the bustle. Plenty of tips about where to eat and drink too!
