Kochen & Essen mit Einheimischen – Traditioneller Kochworkshop in Marrakesch!

We booked this class on a whim and it exceeded our expectations. The host was incredibly warm and friendly making us feel at home. We got to learn the history behind the dishes and ingredients we were using topped off with a tutorial on the correct way to proper tea. Learning to cook a traditional tagine is an experience we will never forget. Thank you.

Such a fun afternoon! There were 4 of us and Ahmed handled the group effortlessly, keeping everyone involved in the cooking. Great mix of laughter, learning, and amazing food at the end.

Ahmet and Zacharia welcomed us warmly into their home and showed us the secrets of Moroccan cuisine. We prepared tagine and fresh bread together; everything was fresh, aromatic, and explained with so much love. The atmosphere was familiar and relaxed; you felt welcome immediately. In the end, we were of course allowed to enjoy everything together. Absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to experience Marrakech authentically!

This was a really really enjoyable experience. Ones that should not be overlooked when visiting Marrakesh. Our host was really good and spoke perfect English. We learned a lot About Marrakesh from him too. It was fun and the food was fantastic. Left happy and with full bellies. 5 star.

We were collected from inside the market and taken to the hosts home. Ahmed was so friendly. The course was led by him and his cousin who were both very welcoming. They shared information about traditions and etiquette. You begin preparing the tagine and its a very relaxed environment. The hosts enjoy hearing about where we came from and sharing stories. Once the tagine is prepared and is cooking, you continue preparing a dessert. Information about all spices and recipes are shared with you. Once all food is prepared you share a few mint teas and chat. Finally you share the food together and again it is explained the etiquette of who serves and how you share. We really enjoyed the whole experience and they couldn't have been nicer. The who thing lasted about 3hrs

Perfect family activity in Marrakech! Ahmed was patient with our kids, the food was amazing, and we left with recipes we’re already planning to cook at home.
